Oh blinky I'm thinking of you. Sending positive thoughts your way. I'm hoping it's different news with the blood test.

    Hi all,
Just feeling puzzled. I got results from blood tests I had where they test for everything (this is to send off to SA). It says that the Varicella-zoster IgG (chicken pox) is not detected and there is no evidence of past infection or vaccination - which is fine except for the fact that I paid for and received the vaccine AND booster about 10 years ago. I was under the impression that is all that was required.
Seems it didn't take. So now I have to go and get it done again (as I have never had chicken pox before.)
    Of course well worth it.

Beta # 2 is in at 212 so *just* off doubling (but I was also in a bit earlier today so it wasn't quite 48 hours) so things seem to be doing what they should. I have to stop myself googling that number though as others seem to have much higher betas. I hate betas.

Emski - Your numbers are really good and heading in the right direction. Don't worry if they are not exactly doubling...mine didn't either, but once they get to a certain point, the numbers will just take off. Congrats hun....1st hcg confirmed UTD and the 2nd hcg just backs it up!!!

Blinky - sorry to hear the results of POAS, however, there have been many many stories of negative POAS with positive BT on this thread (I think it has something to do with the Gestone)...I believe JodiW can back that one up. Im still sending you lots of positive vibes.

Feather - How did you go?

January - How are you feeling hun? Im hoping, wishing and praying to see your pregnant belly when you visit Cairns in a couple of months!

KLM - Excellent it was picked up....frustrating it didn't take the first time, but at least you know and can do something about it.

Everyone....trying to keep in touch with everyone's journey. Im reading, albeit very quickly, but sometimes I only get a short amount of time away from Jesse.

    AFM
Feeding problems....ironically not due to the cleft!!! Jesse's jaundice is affecting his feeding and the poor little bugger has only put on 10 grams for the week since coming out of hospital....broke my heart! Midwife has us on a pretty strict/severe feeding pattern to 'push out' the jaundice and we have already seen an improvement in him since yesterday.

I have to put the 10 grams out of my mind or turn it into a positive in that he didn't lose weight and pick up and move on. Now on medication to increase my milk supply....was doing okay with the amount that I was getting, but I need more to push the jaundice out of his system.

Emski your numbers sound very much like mine. My second beta also didn't double and googling was a mixed blessing :-) My third beta took off though - I think you're well and truly up the duff with a lovely healthy young embryo on board :-)

Sunny lovely to hear from you. I hope Jesse overcomes the jaundice and starts to put on weight soon.

    Blinky - thinking of you

Emski - don't worry about how high the number is, your initial BT was around 100 and that's what they told me they look for - THEN so long as they are roughly doubling every 48-72 hours that's what indicates a viable pregnancy.
