Blinky it is amazing we get to see our little ones at such an early stage and fab news on your 2 little blasties. Have you heard if you have any to freeze as well, for little brothers/sisters

Emski, eek - very exciting. Keep getting comfy little embabies.

January, arghhhh. Sending the biggest hugs and keeping everything crossed things work out ok. I'm so glad you are getting good support from the clinic and your dr. I also have chosen an experienced donor hoping they know what to expect but I know in my last cycle I forgot a couple of jabs and did them a couple of hours late but have always been super paranoid with the trigger. It is tough when we rely so much on our donors to do the right thing for us.

Welcome tittle, great to have a bloke join us. My hubby lurks in the background but not active on the forum. We are also with dr lr and hoping to get to CT in May. This group is a life saver and a fantastic bunch.
It must have been lovely for those of you that got to meet in CT and for the blokes to share their experiences too. I know hubby chats with a couple of his mates but as we all know it's not quite the same as sharing with someone who is going through it.

Bj04, congrats on Sebastian But what a scare for you and your mum, glad all is well now. I think best to not let it sink in too much but believe you were both always going to be ok, but good advice to make sure all legal sides of things are in order. Take care.

sunny, enjoy your baby feed haze and cuddles as they grow so quickly.

Lozby, hope your doing ok. Also have not heard of water on lining but hope it has righted itself and all is going well with your donor.

AFM, lady red finally arrived and have started the pill and have started getting all my drugs in order.
Got quotes from Singapore for depot injection, lucrin 3.75mg @ $474.23 SGD and Decapeptyl 3.75mg @ $400.95 ($347.71 AUD) or the lucrin daily injection at $149 SGD (129.52 AUD) which I think for memory is cheaper than in Oz so waiting till I return to get these but I have gotten the progynova here as got 2 packets at chemist warehouse for $21 AUD. Crinone I think it is best to get in CT, is this correct? Not much else we can do at this stage so trying to keep busy till we hear more.

    To all.

Congratulations Bj04 on the birth of your son. You really must be pinching yourself that it's actually true. I know i would be. Sorry to hear about your scary story, but someone was looking out for you both obviously. Enjoy every moment together with your little one.

Hope all is ok for you January. Fingers are crossed for you.
You too Emski, hope your second line gets stronger!
Blinky, hope all is well with you too.

Welcome Tittle! Glad to have you and your DW with us on this interesting journey. (Yep, I struggled with all the acronyms when I first joined bub hub too).

Donna - firstly Hun, thinking of you. You have been such a wonderful contributor to this thread and we are all sending our love and positive energy your way. Xxx

January - I felt sick in the stomach when I read your post. God I hope things turn around for you. What are your options? My understanding is that in crude terms it is a contract. Failure to take drugs or trigger at the correct time resulting in a material impact on the cycle, would in my respectful view be a breach of an essential term. You would have to read the contract to see if there is a disclaimer. But STILL!!! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

BJ and Amethyst - congratulations on your most wonderful achievements and the safe arrival of your precious boys. BJ, wow that is one scary ride you have been on and it is likely to hit you out of the blue. Be sure to take good care of yourself and seek some good counsel if needed. Xx

Angel - hoping like crazy things have settled for you. Let's us know how your next scan goes. Xx

Emski - doing a crazy lady dance for you ATM. Congrats Hun. That is fab news.

Blinky and Lozby - hoping you too can soon get some positive results.

Tittle - I am super excited that one of the fellas has joined the thread. Thank you for giving us all the male perspective on this amazing journey. Wishing you and your wonderful wife the very best. How gorgeous are you! You are going to make the most supportive partner and wonderful daddy. You will be able to recount all your experiences to your little one.

In closing it is lovely to see a number of wonderful ED recipients popping in and sharing their birth stories and so very exciting to still follow those of you embarking on your journeys. Take care xx.

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for all your words of support, it really helps when you are going through something like this.

    My cycle summary as follows:
    • Initial EPU changed from Thursday to Monday (4 days later)
    • Call from Dr to say 1 ovary aspirated and there were no eggs
    • Back at clinic to choose back up donor from egg bank
    • Advised donor had triggered 12 hours late
    • Back at clinic same night for second EPU and - 2nd sample
    • 5 eggs retrieved from remaining ovary
    • 1 egg fertilized
    • Back at clinic next morning for DH to give 3rd sample
    • 17 eggs from back up donor thawed, 5 mature, 3 fertilize
    • Day 3 transfer 2 excellent embryos from egg bank donor transferred
    • 2 embryos still developing possible freeze 1 and only original and the 3rd from egg bank donor

This is our second trip as most of you know and we were really hoping to do a day 5 transfer but again not to be! It has been an absolute roller coaster and I am just pleased that we have ended the trip feeling a little more positive as we were already planning a 3rd trip which obviously could still happen.

The Doctors and staff at the clinic have been absolutely amazing and have tried everything to save our cycle. I cannot praise them enough for their efforts.

For those of you about to travel have faith in the clinic and Doctors they are very compassionate and go above and beyond what any specialist in Australia would be willing to do in my experience.

To my friend Rainbow - thank you for all your words of wisdom. You have helped to keep me sane. Our cycles have many similarities

    Tips for newbies:

    • be flexible with return flights if you can
    • opt in for the egg bank
    • don't be shy contact the clinic if you need an answer on something. They are extremely busy but if you feel your issue is important call/email they will respond

Bye for now off for our last dinner in Cape Town

    Ho.Lee. $&*%

I've just caught up on the last four weeks and I don't even know where to start. I know I'm not going to come near to covering everything so let me just start out by saying good luck to those of you in who are waiting to go to SA and those of you who are PUPO - January, that BLOWS but your attitude is just as amazing as ever. I'm crossing fingers, toes, legs, etc., that this cycle defies all odds and brings you the little angel who is out there waiting for you. Remember, your baby will find you! Emski, Fx that the double line gets darker - so exciting!

BJ04 - what a story!!! That scared the crap out of me - I'm so happy that you and Sebastian are fine - what a blessing.

Donna - I'm so so very sorry Once again, your grace and bravery have left me feeling humbled and wondering how you do it, how you remain so generous and truly remarkable in the face of such challenges. I have no doubt whatsoever that you will overcome this and please know that you have all of us here cheering you on through this latest test.

Helonwheels - I'm so sorry for your loss. Like Donna, you're so resilient and really blow my mind - you're amazing. Good luck in May!!

The recent graduates - Bj, Sunny, Amethyst, Anait, Plimpy and jennilee - wow, March was a bumber crop month, congrats!! You can add one more to that list - my gorgeous daughter, Madeleine Suzanne was born on the 10th at 2.88 kg and she's just perfect. Funny enough, everyone says she looks like me - same lips, eyes, and nose. Weird, hey? She looks nothing like DH and really nothing like the baby pics of my donor. It's just a miracle. For those of you who are wondering should I/shouldn't I - like Donna says, don't hesitate, just grab the chance for this with both hands and all your heart. You can do nothing but try and the payoff is indescribable. My little one has just woken from her nap and she has some rather funny smells coming from her, so I had better wrap this up. Who would have thought that I could be happy about poop?

Anyone I couldn't get to - my apologies. Thinking of you all. xx.

Congratulations Allieopp You've brought tears to my eyes thinking about you and Madeleine - I'm so happy you are all safe and sound. Much love xxx

BJ congratulations I couldn't believe your story and am so thankful you are both doing well. What good advice for guardianship to be thought of before certainly not anything I would have thought of.

January I'm so glad to hear you have two beautiful embryos on board and sound so positive - I've got a good feeling. I too had hoped our 2nd cycle would result in 5d blasts with many others on ice (greedy I know) but as you know I didn't get given a lot of hope and had nothing left to go back to but am now at 32weeks. Congrats

Best wishes for those in the 2ww and lots of love for those patiently waiting for their turn

    CcvvcfHi everyone
Bj and allieoop congrats on your little ones. Enjoy!

January- total nightmare for you. But I'm glad it's kind of worked out in the end for you.

Blinky and emski enjoy being pupo!!

pixel - thanks for thinking of me and thanks for your support xx

AFM - well, firstly thanks for everyone's support. It's meant a lot. But we have good news, we got 36 eggs!! Crazy right! 26 mature and at day 1 yesterday 24 embies!! My DH is very proud of himself! We are soooo happy.
As for my lining, it is still not cooperating, but the doc is trying everything for me. Unfortunately all my embies (depending on how many last) will have to be frozen but hopefully if my lining thickens we may be able to fit in an FET in about a weeks time before we leave. If not, I'll be back to Bangkok in 6 weeks.

Anyways, thanks again ladies. I love this thread!
