So AF arrived once again. We are totally shattered. I really feel like I have let everyone down. We have been relying on so many people just to do our cycles it just .......(insert choice word here)
I guess now we wait for the new year and pray for a better year.

Oh Loveabug, my heart just aches for you right now. Hun, you haven't let anyone down. Quite the opposite, you have put yourself to hell and back in an opportunity to add to your family. Please, please don't beat yourself up. Sending you much love, peace and big hugs. This whole crazy process is so bloody unfair and males absolutely no sense at all. Xx

I ended up switching to Wazza on my 7th cycle at Dr Turner's recommendation to go to another FS because donor may be our only option. Unfortunately they don't do donor cycles at Monash. My first cycle with Wazza was on our own so he could see how we went on his cocktail of medication but it failed. He recommended donor eggs and my first cycle with my sisters eggs and I got my beautiful little girl.
I can not fault Dr Turner, he did all he could with what he had. Unfortunately we were (and in his own words) a very difficult case. He even took our case to a meeting with Monash IVF doctors from all over the country and they were all stumped too.
In Wazza's words, I'm a young lady with old lady eggs. I don't think there is anything else Dr Turner could have done.
Thanks @lineyb73, wishing you much the same. And yes luck definitely seems to be part of this journey.

I have also found Dr Turner to be good so far, however sometimes his sense of humour is a bit odd - and I am not sure if he means what he says or it's just a joke (e.g. put the sperm on your breasts, while we had our IUI ha ha). I had no idea that they don't do donor eggs? I wonder if this has changed. We are using donor sperm and that was ok. But I guess donor eggs are a lot harder to source. Sounds like Dr Turner did a lot for you, that's great to hear, even going to the Monash IVF board! I think whilst he is away in Jan, Dr Allen or Dr Baines will cover him. I am sure they are just as good, I have read Dr Allen has been doing it for years and years and years! Just waiting to get started now, will be somewhere mid Jan. But excited to start this next step and hoping it will be a positive outcome. How many embryos does Wazza transfer? I have read posts about many having 2 put back, but I think that unless people have had many failed attempts that normally doesn't happen. Not sure. Wishing you all the best of luck and hoping 2015 brings many BFP's!

All the laws have changed with transfers now. I may be a little wrong but I'm sure now they are only allowed to transfer 2 after at least 2 failed single embryo transfers. I asked for two on the last cycle because it was our first one since having my daughter and they would only transfer one. His hands are tied now. It is stupid because we had one good embryo and two a little behind and I know he would have trasferred one of them with my good one if he was allowed but they didn't end up being good enough to freeze.

Well it's official, we are moving. DH took the position and starts Australia Day. We are going from a very small country middle of know where town to a teeny tiny middle of know where kind of town. Still getting used to the idea.
Our IVF journey will start once we are settled secretly hoping the IVF train will come sooner than later

Here's to a new year full of miracles.

I was allowed to transfer 3 embryo's on both my Cycles with Wazza. QFG policy was a maximum of 3 embryo's transferred only for women 40+and/or multiple failed Cycles. For women 35+ it was 2 embryo's from the get go or if you'd had multiple failed Cycles and for all other women it was only 2 after either 2 or 3 failed Cycles...not sure if the policy has changed now??

Wishing you (and all the other Girls still Cycling on the thread) Good Luck!!
