AFM : Ive got my next hospital appointment this week.
Doc rang me in his own time over the weekend to ask me to come in and see him and have another blood test this morning. So have been to the vampires and seeing the doc at 11.15. Pretty sure it will be a case of nature taking it's course though as while I have only had the odd cramp here or there (and nowhere near as painful as endometriosis period cramps), I started bleeding heavily with clots overnight after two full weeks of very light spotting so pretty sure my body is doing it just fine on its own. I doubt there's any hcg left in my blood from today's test...

Jussi - it is good your body is working naturally, hopefully no d&c on the horizon. You will know when ur hcg results come in though which is good.

Fi - I've just enrolled in uni, I'll be studying 2 subjects, semester 2 starts in 3 weeks. It will be sure to keep me busy !!!

Crafty - you poor thing. Not long now!!!

Afm - AF arrived a few days early which was kinda nice that I can get started on my tracking cycle. Means I have my day surgery next week though which kinda scares me. Eff knows where we are going to get the money from lol :-/ medical bills are really starting to pile up that's for sure.......

    Sneaking in

Jussi I'm so sorry to hear your news I was following your posts and hoping it was just a small bleed and not a miscarriage. Hoping things happen fast for you and you get your ultra sticky bfp soon.

Mrstugs are you starting ICSI/ivf or just doing tracking still? I hope you can start soon and get your bfp quickly what's the day surgery for?

Fi, it's difficult not to obsess about ttc especially when you are tracking. Back when I was ttc I used exercise as a way of not focussing on ttc and in turn it helped me get in a better frame of mind.
I hope it doesn't take you too much longer to get your bfp.

There's a lot of exciting progress in here lately! Feeling like there will be many BFPs soon!

Just a quick question...when do you normally have your first scan? Is it your dating scan?

Mine is a dating scan at 7weeks, think they only do them if you have irregular cycles or don't know lmp date, otherwise 12/13 weeks I think not entirely sure though!

    Oh poop!
I really wanted to be able to tell DH's family we were utd (all going to plan that I fall in Aug/Sept) when we visit end of Oct. But at that stage I'd def be under the 12 week mark. I only really want to share the news once we've had a scan or seen a heart beat.

Clucky you can hear heartbeat from about 7wks (often earlier, but that's a safe date) so you'll be fine. Just request a dating scan and they'll comply.

Lys, good to see you chick. I've got my hycosi next week I'll be going under general anaesthetic for it. Still tracking, have our follow up appt in 3 weeks so will hopefully have all our results etc then and set up a game plan!

I miss this not so little group, so I check up on you all every now and then! Hope you don't mind! I love seeing the groups good news, hoping to see more in the upcoming weeks and months!

What's a hycosi? Just the name sounds awful! Best of luck mrstugs!

I had my op two weeks ago, no more ttc for me, ever! So definitely just a stalker (not the creepy variety! Lol) in this thread xx

Eta clucky- i had scans at 4w3d with my dd, didn't see heartbeat till scan at 5w6d and it was 111bpm! So I say it starts up anywhere between 5.5 to 6.5 weeks. You should have a strong heartbeat going by 7 weeks xx

So yesterday we went to the GP for our test results.

DHs was within normal range, except concentration was a little low. The GP said to take it with a grain of salt this time as a few things can effect that. He will need to do a repeat in a few weeks time. Once he's got at least 2 or 3 samples they can work out if there's anything of concern.

My bloods were mostly normal. My Prolactin and DHEA were elevated, although only slightly, so I'm getting those rechecked again on Thursday - cd 21.

My ultrasound was normal. What looked like a cystic ovary on USS was actually loads of follicles trying to ovulate. I then had one dominant follicle on the other side. I was cd 7 when I had the USS done (normally ovulate cd16).

What next? Off to the fertility specialist who will do some more gynae type investigations - laparoscopy, special USS with dye in my tubes to check for blockages etc. Fun times ahead. At least I have the referral. Time to get busy making phone calls!

Lys the HyCoSi is where they inject dye into tubes & uterus and get an idea of shape, blockages & concerns. The u/s chick this morning asked if I have PCO so I wonder if she's finding something there. The hycosi will help them see better.

Em, on one hand that's great there's no major concerns, but on the other hand I know that still doesn't bring answers as to why you've not had success. Could you remind me again how long you've been trying?
