Does the wine/food thing really matter until the placenta takes over?

Good idea. If I wasn't sure, I would be staying off it as well. Xx

I don't know about the food thing but the recommendation is to stay away from alcohol when ttc. Can't hurt right? I mean obviously it wouldn't be the best when ttc, and it's not as essential as water ;-)

I am off the wine as part of my being healthy/diet. It's made it easier as all my friends and family know I am not drinking alcohol at the moment and I'm not getting questioned if I am pregnant or not. Even if I am not (still pretty sure AF is just late!) preggers I am still going to go off wine/alcohol when out especially. I might have a glass here or there with dinner but that's it :-)

So it seems DH and I are still in with a chance this month. Despite the acupuncturist telling us not to TTC for 2 months while she's got me on the Chinese herbs, DH and I (unintentionally) threw caution to the wind yesterday morning. DH said he'd rather take the chance of a miscarriage than not try at all. Took me by surprise, as he's almost been the polar opposite since we started TTC.
