My toddler has a (mankey) blankey. He loves his blankey. We ended up cutting it in half so we now have two and one can be in the wash while he is using the other - so not quite as mankey nowadays! he sleeps with it, and cuddles it when tired or upset.

My DS only recently started taking a toy to bed with him (he's 3). It's usually one of his hard plastic animal figurines.

He has never shown an interest in soft/stuffed toys, or blankies.

My DS has 3 he takes to bed with him. One is a Steiff Teddy that my Mum gave him when he was born (family tradition). He also has a puppet giraffe and zebra he asks for. They are called George and Zebby. I love that he loves cuddles with his 'friends'
