We've been through this already VP

Obviously I agree there will be impacts, lots of positive impacts.

More coverage on PPL and how the current proposed scheme is very unlikely to get through

I can't help but think that some changes will go through but not as proposed. Even if they don't extend the time frame but increase the $ or the opposite, increase the time frame but not the $. Better yet, meet in the middle! Either way I would be happy with any sort of change for the better.

Today's article : "On the PPL, which is strongly opposed by business for being overly generous and unaffordable, Mr Abbott said the legislation would be presented to Parliament soon. He said the scheme, which would give mothers up to $50,000 to stay at home for six months, was good economic policy as well as good for families.

He suggested the Government might acquiesce to changes to the policy as it went through the Senate."

First it was supposed to be a maximum of $75k over 6 months but now it's $50k.
    Might get smaller!

Not for me it wouldn't be.

But let's not go there. I think there are already about 15 pages devoted to that topic.
