Do you realize that those big businesses already provide their own PPL scheme?
    Just saying...

Or mining companies. And didn't they just get their tax reduced by 1.5% so they will be net zero?

You've read the enterprise bargaining agreement and workplace contracts relating to all big businesses and their employees?

I have worked for five different mining companies an only one of those offered paid maternity leave. So I don't think it's fair to say all big business already provide ppl.

I have worked for 3 extremely large companies & none have provided paid maternity leave. One did have it until PPL came in & our EBA came up for review, so not totally accurate.

But are the mining industries going to leave Australia because the PPL scheme is being extended? I somewhat doubt it.

So the EBA came for review and the unions agreed to have employer paid parental leave remove from the EBA? They agreed to lower benefits?
    Time to change union representatives!
