@rachie5 it's so hard to not worry during the embie growing time. Just try to relax hun and take it as it comes, I know easier said than done lol. although I'm pretty sure you have some strong embies hun. ask away hun, bub hub has been the best advice for me along my journey, so much help and support

@rachie5 Defrost rates are great - around 90% I think. When you have say 8 cells, you can still have about half the cells die off when defrosted and the embie will just continue to divide and grow regardless, that's why the success rate is so high.

@rachie5 - yes, the success rates are just as good frozen as they are fresh. There is a lot of speculation that frozen are actually better because your body has had a chance to go back to normal, and usually only the best ones survive to be frozen. HOWEVER - you have 8 from 8 and all at exactly the right number of cells for their age, so I wouldn't be surprised if you end up freezing them all as they will all be pretty good quality I reckon.

@rachie5 I had OHSS with my first IVF cycle (although not as bad as you, I didn'd end up being hospitalised) so we had to do a freeze all too. I was so upset at the time and when I cam round from the EPU and saw 23 written on my hand I just burst into tears because they told me anything over 20 would be automatic freeze all. They had warned us all the way through that we might have to freeze all as I think I had 38 follies but we just assumed we'd be okay. In hindsight, I am glad. The OHSS can reduce the chance of your BFP and then if you do get your BFP you get even sicker. Anyhoo, our first FET didn't take, we did another FET back to back and I'm now ten weeks. The thaw rates now are excellent, about 90%, and my clinic actually has slightly higher success rates with FET's than fresh. I think its because its less invasive drugs wise and your body has a chance to recover from the IVF stim cycle. I do know how disappointing it is but its for your own safety they are freezing them all so please try not to be too upset and FX for your FET!!

Trying not to stress just concentrating on getting better and the good news that the embryos are growing strong today. 90% is a great thaw rate can I ask what clinic your with?
