    Default Need help and ideas!

My group of girlfriends and I are trying to organise a get together for a 30th birthday this weekend. We have rented a house not far from where she lives, and we are coming from all across the country to spend the weekend together.
On the Saturday we have a tarot card reader coming, and had planned to have a beautician as well, but haven't been able to get in touch with anyone.
Keeping on mind the birthday girl is pregnant and I will have 7 month old dd with me, what would you suggest in lieu of the beautician?

The focus is really on the birthday girl (its her first pregnancy after been trying for years!) but also all 5 of us just spending time together because it doesn't happen very often any more!

Any clever hubbers have some ideas?

You could always beautify each other? Give each other a mani pedi, face mask etc...and watch classic 80s romcoms and eat lollies and chocolate like a proper slumber party!

Depending how finances are what about having one of those shopping parties at home?

If you're crafty ladies you could scrap book and have spots to put pictures from the party as a nice momento for her birthday.

Do you have 5min angels in your area? They usually come to offices and give 5 min massages at your desk, so they could give shoulder/neck or hand/feet massages?

    Hehe my friends aren't crafty

I suggested DIY home beauty treatments and its had a lukewarm reception to say the least!

I like the slumber party idea though

One of my friends recently had a Body Shop party.
In addition to a free foot soak and getting to try out some of the lovely lotions and scrubs and things for free, she also got a massive discount based on what the rest of us ordered and free gifts as well. If you do something like this for your friend, you could possibly do her order as your own and apply the discount to it - then have everyone chip in a little extra for her order.

For a good laugh, you could get a party planner person who does the sex toy parties, I've not attended one but my sis did and she said it was hoot!

That is a brilliant idea. I went to one and they can be fun.

I went to one and it was really fun actually!
I'd personally just have a slumber party.
Romance/girly movies and big my face on gourmet foods.
