going in Sept ... to Bellagio, Sondrio, Firenze, Perugia and Roma

DH has family there so its really great.

I would love to know some more about birthing options and what they do in Italy though ... do you have an obstetrician? or midwifery care? what is the care like? what kind of homebirth rates do they have? (I have endless questions )

Oh, Rome is beutiful!! Florence is nice too; I've never been in the others city instead.
Have a nice staying in Italy!! Hope the weather will be better than now!

I'm glad to answer you! So ask what you want!!

In general in Italy women choose a gyn that follow the mum during the pregnancy with doctor's appointment, examination and ultrasound.
Than you can decide to attend a course where obstetrician and others specialists explain some themes concerning pregnancy like as birth, labour, baby blues, breastfeeding, baby's needs and care and so on. In this course the obstetrician told me the rate of homebirth is increasing: she said that nowadays women want a birth more natural is possible; in the hospital where I decided to give birth they don't use epidural anaesthesia and try to avoid C-section.

    what else? Ask me!! ;-)

    And what about Australia?
How does it work with job?

I hope I could explain myself despite the bad english...

    Bye!
