Default Has anyone used Expedia for a package Holday?

Ok. I travel a lot and usually book everything separately online. I have not used a travel agent in years.
i have found a deal with Expedia that is just over half price what i would need to pay if i payed for a hotel and flights separately . $6000 cheaper
Has anyone used Expedia lately? Were you happy? Were there any dramas?
i think I may have used them years ago, 10 + years but cannot remember.
It is for an overseas holiday,so don't want any dramas.
    thanks in advance.

I used to do pricing for one of the major car rentals and one of our clients were Expedia. From what I saw and heard they fairly reputable business with huge international network. Much bigger overseas then here. I couldn't envisage too many dramas and I would have no issue using them.

They used to get much cheaper rates then many other clients too. They buy in bulk and guarantee x amount of rentals to us.

Only thing maybe would be customer service as they so huge and work on volumes?

Not for a package but I booked accommodation through them for a holiday in Fiji about 3.5 years ago. Had no dramas with it.

My husband and I travelled all through the USA with Expedia back in 2010 - we had no issues - great prices. Actually looking to book again through them for our white christmas this year!

I am very much wanting to book our USA trip through Expedia, but I do have a bit of trepidation having never travelled to the US before, specifically with flights. There are a few layovers and they seem very inflexible, but the prices seem good. According to Reddit- Expedia, Hotels.com and TripAdvisor are all owned by Expedia anyway.
