KarmaJane - Great that you are happy with new specialist hun, its very important that you have faith in them as you move forward. Good news that the counselling session went well too! Seems you are definatey getting one step further to your baby and are sounding very positive which is great

Twinkley - Sounds very confusing hun with the mixed messages you are getting from your FS and FN, seems you holding of for a month was a good plan anyway giving you a chance to iron out those issues and feel positive as you start to move forward. Good luck hun will be following your progress on here and will see if I end up following you down the IVF track once a few of my issues are sorted.

MrsMarcs - I have done 7 cycles of injections so far but my circumstances are slightly different since I have only ovulated 3 of those times and once cycle out of those 3 was cancelled due to overstimulation so really only had the 2 chances. I think most fs say 3 cycles but I think that is just because they want to up your chances moving onto next step and increasing your odds.

Ladydee - Nice to see you reading along with the thread hun, how are you going???

AFM - Ok just returned from my appointment with fs where I was going to discuss IVF and assess my cyst again. I had my scan and it was found that the 5cm cyst on my left ovary has completely disappeared and my ovary looks normal (unusual as usual polycystic but must be the effect of pill) however my right ovary now has a new cyst measuring around 6cm which must be left over from last cycle where again I didn't ovulate. We discussed where to move from here and brought up the idea of IVF but my fs said it seems like I am a very difficult case and he can honestly say he has never had these issues to deal with before . He has therefore decided he doesn't want me to move onto IVF just yet until he has tried to sort out these issues. He works in a department along side various other FS and he has said he is going to seek support from his colleagues to see where to move me forward from here. I am therefore staying on the pill and waiting to hear from him. Finding this quite a positive move as he is admitting he needs to seek another opinion. If we are still not happy with the outcome we are already booked in with a new fs in August for an appointment.

I did 6 rounds of clomid 3 of which were with trigger shot and one with another shot to encourage ovulation all BFN and one IUI in there. Moving onto IVF soon in my opinion the sooner the better as the chance of conceiving is slightly higher and cost wise similar to doing multiple IUI only thing is have to pay more up front for IVF but get it back and come out of pocket almost same as doing multiple IUI.

Hi ladies, I'm so sorry to crash your thread but I just wondered if anyone had an opinion to share...I had my US this morning and I had a lining of 9 and a lead follicle of 15.6mm followed by a 12 and a 11. The nurse would like me to trigger tonight, but I wonder if it is too small! Her theory is that if we wait we run the risk of the 12 and 11 catching up. My husband and I have talked and are happy to have twins but wary of the risk of triplets. I'm so stressed now, I wish I knew about follicle sizes before my appointment this morning Any help would be so gratefully received. I'm sorry, I haven't actually read through the thread I just thought you all might have an idea but good luck to everyone on this journey

    Hey Buttercup
I am no expert on this but I did think that the minimum size was more like 17-18mm. (also I am not sure why I think this, no nurse or doctor has ever told me that) The follicle would continue to grow today so might be another mm by tonight.
In saying that though, when I had my first scan I think I had a 14mm and 2 12mm follicles, they then kept me injecting for another week before triggering. When I did the trigger I had a 21mm and a 17mm
I think it is best to just follow the advice you are given and trigger when they say to do it. If you start messing with things its a slippery slope. WHat has your experience been on other cycles? do you know what your oestrogen is?

    Thanks MrsMarcs
I think I just need to stress less and go with what the experts are saying. I just started to worry when I double checked what I was like when we got our daughter (20mm) but in the end, it is what it is...I could wait for 20mm and it still might not work so we are going to be positive, do as we are told and trigger tonight and just have all our fingers and toes crossed. My oestrogen was 750 yesterday. They didn't bother to check it today because they were doing the US.
Where are you on your cycle MrsMarcs?

I am about day 8, injecting 75mg a day. I had bloods done yesterday and oestrogen was only 230 or something. I will have an ultrasound on tuesday. Not sure if this is going to be the right dose for me or not.
Good luck with the BD these next few days Buttercup

Hi MrsMarcs, sorry I must have missed your last post, did you end up triggering? Hope you are well. I have yet another appointment on Thursday to see where we go forwards from here, my fs was going to consult with other specialists to see if they had any ideas as to why I am suffering from repeated cysts, hopefully they will all be gone this time after being on the pill.
