Ok DD is in bed so can come back to let you know how I went. As you all know I went for my appointment on Friday at my fertility clinic where 2 nurses did my scan and I was unfortunately told I had no follicles but my lining was coming on nicely measuring 8.1 already. I was then sent to see my fertility specialist today to see his opinion on what I should do now as a next step. As he put it today my follies are just being 'tricky' and he wanted to see what was happening for himself. so he did my scan and low and behold he found a follicle, which I was really really happy about and thought I would be told to continue to inject and see what happens. However he said that it measured 18 and I should trigger tonight , so as you can imagine shocked is not the word, we are amazed. So we should be feeling so excited but feel like we are just questioning everything at the moment as can't believe it! Can a follicle really just grow from nowhere over a weekend - we doubt it! My fertility specialist has said though that from now on I am to see him for scans and everything else instead of going to the fertility clinic so he can keep an eye on my 'tricky' follicles whicj really pleases me as I have a lot of faith in him, but hopefully this is our month - we will soon see.

Heyside: Congrats and here's hoping that follie is a winner.

When I saw the nurse today she said I can have my trigger (which I did at 7pm) and we can BD 24-36hrs later just in case. I have 3 good follicles there. We'll go along with that on a long shot but I'm not putting a lot of hope in it (I couldn't handle it not working if I hoped too hard).

DH and I were trying to figure out why he might have no sperm and all we can figure is that he had a mild case of cellulitis mid December. We didn't think he had much of a fever if at all from it but maybe that or the antibiotics he had to take for it killed all his boys?

Anyway, we'll ask the FS about it and see. We want to see if he will allow us to do periodic samples just to see if it comes back or not. DH also wants to look into donors but I hear that's really difficult in Australia...

KarmaJane - Great news you can have the trigger, there is still chance this cycle could work - have faith and try to stay positive. If not this cycle its definitely worth speaking to FS for more ideas and to find out how you can help DH spermies. Seems we are cycle buddies, hope the tww is kind to you, going to try and stay calm about all this, don't have lots of faith in the cycle as its really come on me as a bit of a shock as thought it was going no where. As regards sperm donors it might be a possibility if it comes to that, I know my clinic has a radio promotion at the minute looking for local donors so it def might be an option.

AFM - I was told the best time to BD would be tonight and tomorrow but as we weren't expecting to get the go ahead this cycle we hadn't bd recently to get rid of DH dud sperm so we decided to go ahead last night to so that we have a fresh start tonight with new spermies, just hope we have given him enough time to get numbers back up.

Mrs Hopeful - are you on for tomorrow?? I think your friends news is definitely a great omen. Wishing you the very very best of luck! xx

ELM - massive congratulations!!!! Super happy for you! Sit back and enjoy what I'm sure will be lovely high results tomorrow xxx When will you be due?

Rj- what's your due date Hun?? x

KarmaJane- oh I'm so sorry you guys couldn't get any swimmers this time around. It goes without saying how disappointed you must be feeling (big hugs!) but gosh.... I can't even imagine how your poor hubby must be feeling! Is that why you guys are having to do a IVF? Male infertility? How about acupuncture or TCM? My hubbies swimmers have always been in the correct ranges but when we started TTC my daughter, he was a spray painter and he had a high number of the sperm with two heads /three tails ect (as we called them, I'm sure there is a more scientific name....bad morphology or something??) and was on the boarder of being out if the "normal" ranges. Anyway, I was getting lots of acupuncture so my DH came to a few sessions but, what I think actually helped him was 1. Cutting out alcohol 2. The TCM vitamins he started taking 3. Changing careers away from paint and fumes. So his next sample a couple of months later was sooooo much better! Anyways, just a thought. Doing random samples to try and get a "stock " of frozen sperm sounds like a great idea to do before you next cycle

Heyside- OMG, congrats on the TWW graduation!! I have absolutely everything crossed that this will be your time to announce your happy results Good luck!! xxxxx

Good luck Mrs Hopeful, will be thinking of you. Will look forward to an update later x

Quick question, how does everyone usually feel when they ovulate after the trigger, my last two cycles around 36 hrs later I have lots of pain and at times felt it very difficult to walk with the pressure (suppose that because I had several follies). However this cycle with the one follie I am feeling nothing so far, think I am over thinking things and doubting that a follie was even seen.

Ladydee - I think I'll be due on 10 October.

    Mrs Hopeful - good luck!!

Heyside - I didn't have any pain after ovulation trigger and I had 24 eggs collected so lots of follies. Don't count yourself out! Try to stay positive

KarmaJane- I'm so sorry about your DH results hun, but do that BD and We'll all have our fingers crossed for you. There are options out there, wait and see if they suit you and your DH.

Heyside- OMG I cna't believe that! Maybe your ovaries were in a difficult position to image and the clinic missed it? Either way it's there!! I never got ovulation pain and I only ever had one follie too with OI. Exciting all these TWW on here!!

MrsHopeful- Yay hun! How exciting hope you pull up ok after EPU, let us know how you go and how those eggies fertilise another TWW!!

Ladydee- How you doing hun? Hope you are keeping busy while waiting.

ELM- YAY!! I'm the same as you, really stressed things are going to end badly, but I know worrying about it makes no difference so just trying to stay positive.

AFM- My rpt Hcg was 6525 yesterday (up from 505 last week), so feeling better about things. My FN told me my due date was 8th Oct but I calculated it myself on several websites and its actually 3rd Oct, I think she was taking my dates from my transfer and not my egg pick up. And it makes sense as I'm one week ahead of elm. First scan is 17th Feb- another TWW!!
