Mrs Hopeful - Your follies and lining sound great hun - that's excellent news! Hope the scan goes to plan on Monday and you get a date for EPU. Think we all go through the negative thoughts though 'but what if' always seems to be running through my head, I am sure all will be good try and stay positive.

Ladydee - Hope the waiting is going ok and you are taking the time to chill out before it all starts again.

KarmaJane - Try to stay positive hun, who knows what will happen between now and next scan, hopefully you get better news from Mondays scan - grow follies grow. Glad the collection of sample went better.

AFM - Easy me telling everyone to stay positive but feeling a little lost myself at the mo, think its the not knowing. On one hand I am quite happy that this cycle is being taken a lot slower than the previous two as that is how my cycle with DD went - slow and steady. However I am also going through the thoughts of 'what if' as I am thinking my FS is concerned that my lining is going to get too thick on the medication before my follies catch up (can this happen?) and worried my cycle will be cancelled for this reason. I know I need to chill out and see what happens.

KarmaJane - hopefully those smaller ones will catch up and you'll end up with a good number. I am the same with mine, a couple are a bit smaller so hoping they catch up. And fingers crossed that the sample you got is a good one to freeze

Heyside - it's so hard to stay positive isn't it. I always try and think the worst so that anything above that I'm okay with. I'm sure you will get a good balance between your lining and your follies and they will do as they are meant too

Ladydee - I haven't ever had acupuncture, I have heard good things about it tho and I've read it can help with IVF, although I don't think it could afford it on top of everything else unfortunately. I hope you are having a relaxing time before it all starts

I had some news last week last week that made me feel super positive, but that feeling didn't last long. My best friend's DS is 7 weeks older than my DS, and she is now pregnant again (3rd child for her tho) and if this cycle works for me we would be due 7 weeks apart. Fate? Lol well I thought it was for about an hour then reality hit and I remembered how small my chances really were.

Mrs Hopeful - Thanks for the positive thoughts hun, hard sometimes to stay completely positive. It would be nice for you if you and your friend were pregnant together again and it could still happen so try to stay positive too and if not you wont be too far behind I am sure, bubs may still be close in age.

ELM - Congratulations hun so so pleased for you, hope all is confirmed asap that is amazing news. We have had such a good start to this year in this thread

Heyside: Hopefully your follies wake up soon! I've never heard of lining being too thick before though. I thought thick was good?

Mrs Hopeful: Don't lose hope of that lovely 7 weeks between you and your friend until it's all done! This could very well be your turn

ELM: Congratulations! How exciting! Hoping your levels are great when you have your bt.

AFM: The weekend went pretty slow but that could have been because I had Friday off! Luckily I haven't dwelled on the results of our sample or my follies too much. Although I have had niggly stabby little pains in my ovaries every now and then so I'm crossing fingers that means growth is happening. We shall see tomorrow. No hint as to when EPU will be yet...

Strange question for you ladies: does anyone else smell weird when on hormones? I've noticed more body odour since I started my Orgalutran shots and I'm hoping that's a normal thing. Although I have been noticing lots more smells everywhere so maybe it's just my sense of smell!

KarmaJane - glad you had a good weekend without worrying about your follies hopefully those little niggles are growing pains I have noticed the last week I have been reapplying deodorant during the day a lot! Didn't even think of it being related to the injections but that would make sense as I've never had that issue before. Strange things these drugs do to us hey.

ELM - congrats again. How exciting! xx

So I'm booked in for EPU on Wednesday at 9:30am! Don't think we will have as many as first thought, probably only around 3-4 so I'm hoping they are good quality.

KarmaJane - I noticed the same thing but it didn't occur to me that it could be the drugs. It makes sense though!

MrsHopeful - good luck for EPU on Wednesday, fingers crossed for good quality embies

Heyside - how are you going? When is your next scan?

RJ85 - when is your scan scheduled for?

Ladydee - sorry you asked about symptoms a few days ago. Frequent urination, *TMI* I had a couple of days with soft stools then was constipated (did some googling and was surprised that this could be a symptom!), sore boobs and some cramping. It's all very similar to AF signs.

If all is well on Wednesday, I will have to keep taking oestrogen three times daily and progesterone pessaries twice daily until I'm 12 weeks. Now I'm afraid that I'll miscarry and I'm trying really hard not to think about it!

Well ladies, it was bad news I'm afraid. Still no useable sperm so my cycle is cancelled. I'm heartbroken as you can imagine and trying to pick myself up so we can move on. We have an appointment with our FS next week so we'll see what happens but I feel like I'm approaching breaking point. I'm trying to think of what I could do with my life if we don't have any kids...

I never imagined that trying to start a family would be this hard or this sad. It's ruined a lot of relationships in my life and made me a sadder person in general. I'm just wondering if it's still worth fighting for

rj85 - make sure you take the nanna naps hun if that's what you need your body is trying to rest and prepare for the next 9 months, I remember feeling so tired with DD in that first trimester and I overdid things and made things worse as I was studying at uni at the time. Hope you are generally feeling relaxed and enjoying it all so far - have you told many people your news yet?

MrsHopeful - Great news that you have the go ahead for EPu on Wednesday hun, 3-4 eggs is good, have faith that they will be of excellent quality and produce a beautiful bubba.

ELM - Those first 12 weeks can be so stressful hun, I remember being so anxious until I had had that first important scan but try to relax as worrying will not help (easier said than done I know).

KarmaJane - So sorry to hear that your cycle is cancelled hun, I presume you will ovulate anyway naturally so still worth trying to baby dance and see what happens, just because your DH sample had no sperm doesn't mean he might have one now that will find that egg - worth a try! I can imagine you must be feeling so frustrated though hun as this journey is so hard anyway - big hugs . Don't give up though hun it is most definitely not the end of the line yet, hope your FS makes everything clear and outlines other options if that's where you are up to.

AFM - I will update properly later as need to put DD to bed but I have come away from seeing my fertility specialist feeling very very confused!!!!
