Mrs Hopeful - So sorry hun to hear that you only got one egg, try to have faith in the one that you do have though hun. if it fertilizes then you have a good chance that it will be a sticky one, and as you said that is all it takes. When will you find out if it has fertilized? Thinking of you hun big hugs

I;ve not got online for a few days but wanted to check back in here

Thanks again to all the helpful replies from

    mrshopeful.

I definitely have ample fat on my tummy to use for injections! :P

And here's a question - how/where can you put a photo in as your avatar?I uploaded one but cant see where I can add it??? And what about your signature/tag lines on your posts?

Mrshopeful - I can only imagine your disappointment and worry. Really hope this one fertilises to give you a chance this round! Also, how do you feel IUI and IVF compare in regards to invasiveness or impact? Is IVF really lots harder emotionally/physically than IUI?

S234 - welcome! I joined here just last week and spent all afternoon reading and posting and getting replies which really helped me feel more positive. We're definitely not in this alone

me 33 low egg reserve, DH 30 excellent sperm.
In 2WW for my final attempt for natural conception.
Expecting to start gonal-F for IUI first week April.

furbabymum: IVF is pretty similar to IUI really. The big difference is that you have to go for egg collection. And the timing is a little different. Otherwise the injections/ultrasounds/blood tests are all the same and the embryo transfer is pretty much the same as when they place sperm for IUI.

Mrs Hopeful: Stay true to your name on here...be hopeful! As you said yourself, one is all it takes. You may have better luck with your one egg than others have with 10. We're all for you hun...

AFM: Haven't been on here much. Kinda lurking. We're still just waiting on a good sample (only done 1 so far). 3-4 weeks between samples goes so slow! Plus my body is now torturing me; my period was a week late this past cycle. It was the longest cycle I'd had in over a year. So naturally, stupid me started to hope that a miracle had happened...which of course it hadn't. Even though I know natural pregnancy isn't really on the cards for us, I took my period coming quite hard; every day that you're late, you hope a bit more. Silly.

So, still here. Doing okay. Just waiting. Hope everyone else is having more luck than me!

Heyside: my FS has also suggested a laparoscopy to see what's going on with my pcos. We haven't discussed it in detail though. Will do at least one more OI cycle before thinking about it.

Mrs Hopeful: congrats, good luck for today!

KarmaJane - It hard when all we can do is wait for next step isn't it hun, so frustrating, try if you can to stay busy and occupied with something. Big hugs for af showing herself especially as she tormented you by arriving late.

Mrs Hopeful - Fabulous news hun congratulations, good luck for today, make sure you rest up after transfer so bubba can snuggle in and get comfy

pjk - The Fs is suggesting I have the lap done to get rid of cysts, I am really hoping none are seen at my next scan so that the lap isn't needed. Sounds like it might be useful just to work out what is actually going on though, I like you am hoping for a straight forward OI cycle this time around though.

AFM - Still taking provera until Sunday and then will ring fs to organise my scan next week. Hoping for good news so we can go ahead with next cycle which is going to be difficult anyway as we will have my parents staying with us for a month during that time and they know nothing about us going through this ttc hell again!
