Heyside: You poor thing. Believe me, I know what it's like to go to a lot of effort with this kind of thing and get nothing out of it. I've had 3 out of 5 tries cancelled at this point. All of which were after weeks of injections. It just feels so unfair that you go to all that effort and have nothing to show for it at the end.

You sound like you like your FS. In all fairness to him a follicle and a cyst look pretty much the same on a scan; the eggs are way too small to see which is why a lot of us in IVF land end up disappointed when we have 6 or 7 follicles and only get 2-3 eggs. I'd at least see your FS and have a chat before you decide what to do. Maybe they can up your meds or suggest a different route. Ask if there is another clinic he works with if you're not happy with the current one; my doctor works for 2 different clinics and we go to one simply because it's cheaper than the other.

Also, you're in a good place money wise right now. Whatever you've paid so far should have put you over your Medicare threshold for the year or close to so everything should be cheaper for the rest of the year.

Just keep thinking of the beautiful baby you're striving for. If you're anything like me you'll get upset at the failures but you'll dust yourself off and keep right on running into that brick wall as long as there's any kind of chance you'll be able to jump over it.

Heyside that's ****. I know all to well the frustrations of being let down. If I didn't do something myself I would of been with them for 5 months with only 1 shot at trying to get pregnant. I really hate the Dr I'm under r here and can't wait to see the back end of them. I would of thought if you didn't ovulate you shouldn't have to pay anything until u do ovulate. I would be saying that very loud and clear as at the moment your still in the same cycle. Can they not scan you now and see how big the follicles are in the hope that u could be a late ovulation.

Afm- bloods again tomorrow n I have a really sore lower back which has of course got me worried as it can b a sign of mc. Gah why so many stresses y can't it just be smouth sailing all the time. Hoping for results over 4000 tomorrow. I started the progesterone. They are pessaries..... Not the moat attractive thing to b doing before bed th ata for sure haha the things us women do hey..

Heyside- hun I'm so sorry I didn't ovulate in one of my cancelled cycles when I had lots of small follicles and it's so frustrating! Does AF still rock up for you even if you don't ovulate? You sound like you trust and like your FS which is important but if you are having your doubts there is no harm looking around. Would it take a long time to get into another clinic??

MrsHopeful- I know where you are coming from hun, I always get the 2nd week blues in the TWW, it just builds until you get your results back, its the waiting that kills me. I hope you can keep occupied while the next week passes quickly for you hun.

KarmaJane- Good to hear your clinic is being pro-active in investigating things for you DH, Hopefully you won't have to go down the donor pathway but I think all clinics are different so it's worthwhile having a look around if that is the option you think you'll go with.

Twinkley-welcome back hun, good to here you have been taking it easy and enojoying the TTC a bit more, definately helps not to be constantly poked and monitored!! Unfortuntalely I'm not from your way so can't help out wiht acupuncturists.

Elm- good to hear hun, did you call back and get your numbers? Exciting that you have you scan next week, not long now! I've been ok a bit queasy now and then but compared to friends of mine, certainly not as bad as some.

Ladydee- That's excellent hun, a heartbeat is a great sign. And your HCG level sounds good too and doubling time is good! What progesterone are you going onto? My HCG was 36000 on tues, so still good doubling time.

Mrs Pump- I know it feels like forever away but it will come around quick! Are you getting bloods in the meantime??

Heyside - I feel you on what your saying I have been thru similar after 6 months of lots of $$$ and 2 cycles of not ovulating got to be a bit over it, hence why have moved onto Naturopath and best decision ever. I just sent you a PM to explain a bit more. Don't loose hope I know how fustrating, depressing, devestating it all is i even had one cycle where I had 3 eggs and ovulated and timed it with an IUI I was certain it was going to be it well guess what nope BFN my two year journey of TTC is still continuing and im not giving up and don't you either. *BIG HUGS*

RJ85 - Thanks awesome news for you too Congrats super excited how many weeks are you now? I actually got a great recommendation on an acupuncturists from my husband's co-worker and even better one from my naturopath today so going to try book in for next week.

AFM - Naturopath appointment went really well today. Figured out no matter how long my cycle is i ovulate on CD19 with the herbs and also when I was on clomid hence why had to have the trigger shot so have added some more herbs and increasing the tonic to ramp it up and even things out my body which should help even out the cycles and then we are in business and that BFP is mine. I think my body just loves CD19 LOL. Back to see Naturopath in 6 weeks. Got a great recommendation for an acupuncturists so going to try book that in for next week has anyone else been too one feeling a bit scared not a fan on needles does it even hurt? What does it feel like? Willing to give it a shot Feeling positive.

Shoot Heyside, that really really sucks. BS really I'm so sorry this happened to you, I know how devastated I'd be and I really feel for you I agree that you shouldn't have to pay if you didn't O. You guys do timed bedding not IUI right? I never had to pay for my cycles which were cancelled. You should either not have to pay anything or only for the trigger....but really that was their mistake also so I think nothing.....I'd make a bit of a fuss for sure if I was you, just explain how you guys are struggling with money specially paying for a cycle that you didn't o on ***hint hint!!!***. I understand you maybe sticking with them but unless your FS comes up with a great new plan of action, I think I'd find it time to move on to a new clinic if you have the choice. If it's going to take time to start with a new one, I'd make an appointment and maybe do one more cycle with the same FS/FC during your wait. It'd be good if you could go by word of mouth though, do you know anyone who's used and had success with anyone else in your area? Or maybe Bubhub can help you choose a good one in your area ? I guess I'm just leaning that way as I was just about to do the same. I understand it's a hard choice to make though specially when your Dr is your FS and Ob as mine is also. Huge hugs to you xoxoxo

Thanks Mrs Hopeful xx I really really hope you get some fantastic news very soon I kept thinking my AF must be just about to start and who knew I was actually prego that whole time! I think I even cried during Home and Away or some show like that I was just feeling so down and teary thinking AF would never arrive.

Mrs Pump- good luck for your bloods tomorrow and can't wait up hear all about your scan

Thanks Karmajane, I hope your hives settle down you poor thing That's a big call to use someone you know, I don't know what I'd prefer if I were in your shoes as I can see pro's and con's for both known and unknown donors.... it'd have to be a decision made after chatting to a psychologist or someone first though huh? I think it's really brave and unselfish of your DH to be so open minded about using one in the first place, I'm sure there would be plenty of men out there who wouldn't even consider it which is so sad for the wife/partner who is desperate for a family. Not an easy choice but I really hope you don't need to use a donor in the end anyway xxx

Twinkley, welcome back and WOW, you have been busy! It definitely sounds like time for a new FS by the sounds of your old one I remember seeing raving reviews about a FS everyone calls Wazza (Warren de'-something?) here on Bubhub. I think there are whole threads dedicated to his patients...maybe check out the Brisbane threads? Goodluck Hun x

Rj- fantastic results Hun, you must be thrilled I have been getting worse and worse ms starting from last Sat and had my first run-to-the- loo hurl last night straight after dinner. It's the only preg symptom that hasn't disappeared. I start getting sick from about 2 or 3pm onwards and it peaks right at making dinner time of 6/7pm. I wish I could take it with open arms as a safe pregnancy sign but then I read that girls still get ms after miscarrying so I'm just ignoring it as much as I can now. I'm on night time Prog pessaries of 400 and I think they may be doing me some good perhaps already as some of my other symptoms are vaguely coming back today. I had some acupuncture today and have been feeling little tightenings and twinges in my belly ever since similar to what I remember I had when I was prego with my dd so fingers crossed its a good sign!

Hope you're travelling well ELM x

    Aussiecarla, how are you?

I firstly just want to say a big thank-you to all you girls, nice to come on here last night after an absolutely **** day and see all your messages of support, you are the only people who actually understand what it meant to me to get that news yesterday, I was so down and depressed so thanks again girls

KarmaJane - Yeah I do like my FS would find it hard moving on to someone else and he only works with the one clinic. Unfortunately we are not in a good place money wise as we are doing timed intercourse cycles which are not covered by medicare so having to pay for the lot . Love your analogy of the wall, made me laugh, I will just have to dust myself and keep hurtling towards that brick wall too lol!

MrsPump - Definitely agree with your theory that I shouldn't have to pay anything as didn't ovulate but don't think my clinic will see it like that as I used their resources throughout the cycle, wouldn't even know how to bring it up. The way we are doing things next cycle too it turns out we wont be going back to the clinic to see them again until I am paying as my FS will oversee everything and will just pay clinic so will only speak to them over the phone. May talk to DH and see if he wants to take that battle on over the phone lol!

Try not to worry too much about the lower back pain hun might just be standard pregnancy symptom. I have used the pessaries in the past definitely not the nicest of things but will be worth it, good luck for tomorrows results.

rj85 - Thanks hun, no not expecting af really she never usually shows her face in cases like this, have been told if not here by next wed to start provera. Only one other clinic local to us and it would be more difficult to access so have decided to stick where we are at the moment

Twinkley - Thanks for the pm hun, nice to hear other people have been through similar (not that I would wish it on anyone if you know what I mean). I will reply properly to your message but I have had bad experiences with a naturopath when ttc DD and it has put both me and DH off, it cost us over $1000 with no results (probably just the one we chose).

Great news that you are getting some good results from your naturapath though definitely working if you are ovulating, you are sounding very positive hun which is the best way to be

Ladydee - Thanks hun, yes we are doing timed 'bedding' lol, not sure my clinic will consider my cycle 'cancelled' think it would def be worth questioning listening to you girls but don't know how to address it, as I say may leave that to DH lol! FS has also said today that he def saw follie so unsure if I responded to trigger but I still doubt it was actually a follie and not a cyst so suppose in their eyes they did everything possible.

Hope the morning sickness settles down for you hun, hard I know hun after last time but try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy suppose it will get easier after the first trimester.

AFM - FS called me today and we have decided to start on dose of 83.7 which is halfway between my previous doses of 75 and 100. I am going to start provera next week and then all the fun starts again. My FS has said he wants to do all the scans from now so will be seeing him in his offices and won't be going to the clinic at all really until I pay (what I am paying them for who knows?). So I questioned will I have to pay both my clinic and FS and he said as I will be in cycle with the clinic he will not charge and apparently shouldn't have charged last time either although his snotty nose receptionist was insistant she would find some way of me paying.

Heyside: Nice to hear you're feeling a bit calmer today and that you've started getting plans in place for what comes next. I wasn't aware that timed intercourse wasn't covered! I thought seeing a fertility specialist meant you got some back on Medicare. Ridiculous! I guess I'm ignorant there as we went straight to ICSI due to DH's count, etc. I personally think that all of it should be free because most other people can have babies without paying a fortune for it, so should we. Either that or we should get tax breaks or a bigger baby bonus or something. Some of us just about bankrupt ourselves doing this! It's not fair

AFM: Today was crap. I started my period even though it's only 9dpo and I'm usually a 12 day luteal phase kind of person. I don't understand why it's shorter but I know I ovulated last Wednesday because I triggered the Monday night. So I'm all emotional and cranky. Valentines Day is the perfect day for that, don't you think? Work annoyed me all day and then, to spit in the face of all the progress I thought I'd made RE: other peoples' babies, I found out a girl I went to school with is pregnant and bawled my eyes out. This girl was born the same day as me, wasn't even married when DH and I started trying and this is the second baby for her and her husband...

So tonight will be spent on the couch with crappy food and crappy TV, feeling sorry for myself because sometimes you just need a pity party.

Heyside - glad you are feeling a bit better about things, and that you've got a plan of attack for nxt cycle.

KarmaJane - I hear you on the friends having babies thing. Our DS was about a year old before a lot of our friends even started having babies and almost all of them have had their 1st & 2nd baby in the time that we have been trying! It's definitely something that gets me down quite a lot. You're allowed to feel down about it, it's only natural, it's like being told you can't have any chocolate only to have it dangled in your face (completely ridiculous analogy but you get my point lol). Hugs!

Anyway, been having lots of pains yesterday & today, different to usual cramps. Implantation? Well that's what I'm telling myself lol clinging on to any hope I can. My BT is Thursday, thinking I might poas on Monday though. That would be 10dp2dt.

Karma- yes I'm seeing all these posts about ppl due in Aug n it's ****ting me coz I was miscarrying at the same time they were all celebrating n I resent them. Even tho so far so good for me atm it doesn't stop me thinking what could of been.

Afm - Hcg came back 4300 at 25dpo and Hcg is up to 196 so the progesterone support is working yay. And my Hcg is looking like it's on the right track. Nxt bt Tuesday.
