    Hi everyone,

I'm home from hospital after almost 3 weeks.

I'm feeling a bit blah tonight but will come in and you the rest of my journey when I'm feeling up to it.

Speaking as a family member, rather than a patient, I think the readjustment of being out of hospital is always hard for the patient. Especially as the family is always so so glad to have them home!

I hope you have a restful few days getting back into the swing of things and that you've found your right level of medication to help you through the next few months.

And don't forget, the meds that make you 'better' dont always make you feel the best either, but they are normally short term and you can eventually move beyond them onto ones that leave you feeling more alive.

My sister is just about to turn 19, has excelled at the HSC and is doing law at uni (as a distance student). When she was 15 we didn't even know if she'd make it to next week. It's been a long and rough road moving from anti-psychotics to anti-depressants to sleeping pills and now is just regular counselling and melatonin. I have hope for you. Xxxxxx

Well, it's a year tomorrow since I went in to hospital.

I just wanted to thank each and every one of you who contributed in this thread and also to those who have sent PMs after reading my journal.

I cannot begin to explain how much your encouragement and support means to me.

It's been a rocky old year and I am battling my mental health every minute of the day. But I'm here, and just quietly, I didn't think I would be at one stage.

    Thank you once again xx
