    Default Metformin side effects (TMI)

I've been on metformin for PCOS on and off for a few years (stopped during pregnancy).

I only get about 1 minutes notice for the toilet (#2s) before it just starts coming out anyway (sorry for TMI!!).

I was just wondering if anyone has noticed certain foods make it worse? Is there something I should be avoiding?

I find that's just how it is with metformin I'm afraid!
My vision also goes in and out of focus!

I didn't have any poo problems on Met but I hear it's best to stick to a low GI diet to avoid stuff like that. I found when I ate hi GI like chips or potatoes, white bread etc I'd feel funny.

Read here somewhere that the controlled release/long acting/ slow release ones have less of an issue with that.

I am also on metformin from 3 years. I have same problem OP. And I feel nauseous if i drink water in morning and if i overeat sometimes. But otherwise it's really good.
