    Oh thank you @Atropos such kind words.

    We just got some test results back. One of his stools was positive for parechovirus. There isnt much evidence on how this will affect a baby later on etc as tbey are only babies not like a older virus as its 'new'. Will update when I see my doctor in morning as the night doctor gave me results.

    monnie I don't come on here anymore as I don't have time but your and Hugo's story has grabbed my attention and he seems to be never far from my thoughts. My youngest is 7 months old, wakes constantly through the night and has recently gone back into a hip brace for ongoing hip problems. I admit I felt a little overwhelmed until I followed your story and now I look at DD4 and wonder at how resilient and amazing these little people are. You are an incredible mum and no matter what Hugo knows he has you in his corner - that will get him through everything he has to face.

    @monnie
    What great news about heading home. And what you are feeling I think is completely normal. At least it was for me each time DD was in hospital and we brought her home. I was terrified but also relieved! At first it was weird and then routines returned and things settled down. Wishing you all the best tonight as you room in. .. Once you get home and in your own surroundings I'm sure you'll start to relax and remember what a great mum you are.
    Hugs.

    This is probably the most useful link on the virus and what has happened to other babies. We dont/wont know his damage to his brain until his grows unfortunately (his milestones).

    My mum will stay with me tomorrow night at home. I will fill in properly tomorrow

    A friend of mine almost lost her bub to parechiovirus it's very scary and very new. Her little man is doing well now he's recovered beautifully and the doctors were talking brain damage at the time.

    Stay strong Monnie you're doing a wonderful job and we will be your cheer squad and support

    So it really can go either way then. I read the link and the statistics are quite positive I thought considering how new it is. There really is a lot of uncertainty in regards to the virus.

    I can't believe how strong Hugo is. In icu just a few days ago and ready to go home already! That's pretty spectacular!
