500g Bakers Flour
250g Warm Milk
2 tsp Salt
20g Fresh Yeast or 2 sachets of Dry Yeast
1 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp Ground Nutmeg
1/2 tsp Ground Cloves
20g mixed peel
Let your yeast activate in the warm milk for a few minutes, then add all other ingredients and knead together to form a dough.
Put in a warm spot to prove for 1-1 1/2 hours (should double in size)
Cut and shape into 12 buns, place close together on a greased baking tray. Cover and let prove for another 15 minutes.
Pipe with crosses and bake in oven at 220C for 10-15 minutes.
Brush with sugar syrup while still warm.
