I last saw lynn about a month ago!! I'm in the middle of a cycle at the moment for number 2 (trigger in half an hour). She's been my Fs from the beginning! This time I made the appt then just made appt at a super clinic the week before and asked for a referral to her. For me, I just found Lynn was willing to try different things much quicker than I've heard other Fs's do. For instance I tested negative for nkc but she decided to treat me as if I had it anyway and it worked I now gave a wonderful 3 year old dd.

Congratulations Walter White! That's fantastic news and I wish and your wife all the best for a smooth pregnancy. Thanks for the feedback.

Frogpossum- one week to get in for an appointment is much quicker than I thought! Not sure why but I'm just imagining a long 3 month wait or something! When it feels like it's already been a long journey, that seems like ages! Congratulations on your 3 year old and my fingers are crossed that your next cycle results in number two!

I'm leaning towards one of the female doctors on my short list as I think I might feel more comfortable with a female even though I've always seen male GPs (always go to a female for Pap smears though!) Not sure though- I just want someone good! Lynn has come up a couple of times so far... Anyone know the difference between an 'Associate Professor' and a 'Dr'?? I figure a professor is someone who is also qualified to lecture or publish books/journals on their area of expertise... Is that right???

Sorry if I was confusing, I did have about a 6 week wait to see Lynn, but I just called her rooms and made the appt, then got the referral later- if that makes sense?!? Don't wait for the referral to book in. Not sure on the difference either, but I know Lynn's had a lot to do with research etc
ps you can ask to go on her wait list in case there is a cancelled appt- I've heard of people getting in very quick this way.

Thanks frogpossum! I'd never thought of asking to be placed on the wait list in case someone cancels- great idea so I'll definitely do this. I guess 6 weeks isn't too bad anyway- one more cycle for it to potentially happen naturally (thinking positively) lol

@Iwantone check out her website too, it has details on what tests (bloods etc) to request from your doc in the mean time, so you won't have to wait for these to be done when you first see her.
Good luck, and hope you have a bubba in your arms before long

Thanks for the website tip. I think I've officially made up my mind. I'm going to call tomorrow to book an appointment with Lynn Burmeister... Eek!

Frogpossum- I just about cried when I read your last comment. I think I sometimes forget that there's the potential to hold a baby at the end of this... At the moment it feels like that moment is a lifetime away. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and for your well wishes. I really hope baby number two is with you very soon

I also went through Lynn, she is very good at what she does and will test you for everything. I agree, ask to be put on her wait list otherwise you could be waiting a long time. Once she started appearing on TV and Woman's Weekly ran an article about her, it became very difficult to see her in a short time. She does only operate from Richmond but you can choose to have all your egg pick ups and embryo transfers from clayton. I did some at hawthorn and a few at clayton. Both were good. Good luck with your ivf journey.

Just called and now I have an appointment with Lynn but not until the first week of May (7 weeks away!) I'm very impatient so this is going to draggggg.... I am on a cancellation list though so hopefully something comes up sooner.

Start on the pill after your April period so you're ready to go for a cycle straight away
