Kiplusthree, I'm on DHs iPad at the moment and hate typing on it lol, but will get on the computer soon to give you a couple of links. So glad you are putting Mako on there, I was just coming in to suggest that!
Theres also a site done by parents who are pushing for Megan's Law.

Do you think it might be worth starting a seperate thread, and seeing if the Mods would allow it to be pinned?
That way members would see it pop up under new posts, as many have probably not seen it in here.

Here are the links to several organisations that might be interested in sharing the FB group.
    Beyond Abuse.
I have provided their FB link, but have also linked a interview with the founder Steve Fisher that is on Mako. The info I provided earlier on the system here in Tas is described here by Fisher, who describes Tasmania as a paedophiles paradise. He is 100% correct.
The case I mentioned that was in the Supreme court at the same time as DH is in there. What is not commonly known about this person is that he had previously been charged with child pornography, but it's generally hard to find along with any conviction, which most likely means he was found not guilty.

Normally I agree with a lot of advocate Greg Barn's words, but this article describes an incident against a paedophile that Barns called vigilantism. That is incorrect.
DH had possible cracked ribs during his first month, after being attacked in the shower. This happens to most new inmates, as those doing the attacking are doing so in order to threaten that "this is what you will live with" unless you help them get drugs in. DH has never so much as touched a cigarette, let alone drugs, and neither have many inmates, but they "help" in order to not be beaten. DH fought back, and he was left alone. Others can't, so often end up getting caught and being charged, even though they are in there for something as small as unpaid parking tickets or fines.
Like many that go through this, it was not reported, so no medical care. To report would be a death sentence.
The reason paedophiles are often in the media for being assualted in jail, is because they DO report it. They can do so easily, as they are actually protected from any blowback. They are not actually assualted any more than other inmates, and in fact are assualted LESS. If other inmates were able to get away with it, these revolting creatures would be dead.

Sorry, long post! But as much as we all wish these disgusting people 'get theirs' in prison, they don't

Mamaof4 can I please make you an admin? You have a LOT of great information and resources x

Ive actually had a bit of emotional blowback from working on this all morning. Being a past victim myself makes a lot of this hit close to home.

So I'm taking a break and heading to the park with my babies and mum- during which time I will be watching them like an even more helicopter parent hawk then I usually am (which is saying something)

I've asked BH to share this on their Facebook page but when I get back on later I will start a new thread with an introduction and link to the page and see if BH will pin it. Can I get some comments of support underneath for pinning the new thread so they're more likely to agree?

Thanks also: once the group gets bigger; who do we contact to demand a new bill? Our local MPs? Does anyone know the process?

What about a peaceful march on the same day all round Australia where we hold up placards stating no more parole for anyone caught raping or killing a child? I actually think we could get quite a bit of support.
