    Default Brett Peter Cowan....GUILTY!!

Well after 10 years it's over!

Nothing will bring him back or change anything and closure isn't ever going to come as to why it was their little boy, but finally relief for the family and I hope the judge throws the book at the low life for what he did!

This whole trial I couldn't stop thinking their is no way they could find him not guilty is there, but I'm so glad it's over now and I'm glad they found him guilty because he's so guilty to me. It's a story that I've followed closely I lived 20km from where he went missing and I was a young teenager as well when he disappeared.

I look forward to hearing the sentence, hopefully he will never be released

I also hope he's never released.

What he did was dispicable, not to mention the agony the Morcombe's have endured. Not having any answers for so many years would be absolute torture.

I was saying to my husband last night there is no way I could have been on that jury Rodeobull. Daniel is the same age as me so it has always been really close to home for me.

I just can't believe he had been convicted twice before. Hopefully he is NEVER released! He can rot inside for all I care!

What is wrong with our system!
Why does it take a convicted rapist / child offender to kill an innocent person for them to be off the streets!

I missed this bit... So he has prior convictions???

    That's sad.

Happy for Daniel though, there's an angel smiling down on his family today.
Hope the Morcombes can find some peace now.

I cannot believe someone who was convicted of raping two young boys in the past was on the streets in the first place. Our justice system failed Daniel and to think this man lived in a house with young children is abhorrent. How could you have children to a paedophile?

I feel like crying for joy that the guilty verdict has been given to him on all three counts. Now we get to hear what a low life he is, and that he has been guilty of even more offences in the NT. I am praying for him to be sentenced to life behind bars never to be released. I really wish we had life sentences that actually mean life. not 25 years, or 20 years. but for the term of their natural life. He doesn't deserve a cardboard box and a hole dug in the prison yard. Rest in Peace Daniel. and much love and God bless to Bruce and Denise, and family. marie.
