my husband and I have some frozen embryos we want to donate to a couple we know however the clinic holding the embryos is insisting on a 12 month wait. I understand the reasoning behind this generalised wait period- HOWEVER... My issues with this are
1. We have 3 kids (12, 13 and 5 months - youngest is by the IVF cycle we did, and the only biological child I have), so the 'might want more' scenario is sooo unlikely it's ridiculous.
2. they'd be quite ok with us going through a complete cycle to donate but not use the frozen ones (...SERIOUSLY!!!)
3. They continue to charge storage fees for the frozen embryos (naturally)
Has anyone had any experience with this, and circumventing the waiting period, or are there any clinics in Brisbane we could transfer our embryos to so we can donate now rather than wait another 7 months. (To potentially find they don't thaw well anyway...!)
