Yes I thought the same! Will see how I go as I am very interested in them but given its such a huge decision I want to be comfortable and at least talk to someone (for free) first.

Yes, that's correct. we paid 150 euro for our first consultation via Skype. Can I warn you when you get to the clinic on the first day, they will set you up for another Dr's appointment, it will cost about 200 euro. The Dr wasn't my original Dr who did the consultation. She just examined my uterus and measure the lining and see how easy or difficult it was for transfer. On the day of transfer, if you wish to have acupuncture sessions, it will cost around 200-300 euro for before & after transfer. But you can choose to have one session. It all adds up...

Hi ECM1981, I have heard of Dr M. He is good at what he does. He isn't a IVF specialist but he is one of the two doctors in Australia would test and treat for DQ Alpha genes! The other dr is my IVF specialist in Monash. The treatment is pretty simple. they take some blood out of your husband and inject his white blood cells into your forearm. It is quite painful but quick. You need to do twice and it lasts you for 6 months! If you don't have a match, you don't need to worry about the treatment. Good luck!

It is a huge decision, you need to find out as much information as possible. But trust your instinct. I did search for quite a few clinics in Spain and talked to all of them via emails. I also did a comparison sheet to see what are their advantages and disadvantages etc. Find one that you feel right for you. But I have to say Spain has the most advanced technology in the world. So much advanced than Australia. The embryologist here in Monash (in Melbourne) knows nothing when you ask them about embryos questions. But the Spanish embryologists have so much knowledge and is very straightforward to tell you the information.

Hi Ladies, Such a long time I'm not passing by! Motherhood is great but "Oh my God" this just changes everything!! But I'm not complaining @kuwtk: I have a wonderful Boy. His name is Axel and he is just the cuttest little thing. About Skype: ask for the free consultation. Obviously you don't go that far in details as a 150€ consultation but it is detailed enough to answer lots of question, and to help to make your decision about the clinic. Then you can have the "real" first consultation with all the test in Spain but you need to have the free one first to make up your mind. @Nettsy: Ellis is an angel, I don't know Dr Lammens as I was with Dra Szlarb. Are you still going in February? for transfer already or first contact? @HopeAgain: Oh my god!! I was so moved reading your post!! I'm glad I have been part of your journey! BFP first attempt with the clinic is just wonderful! Congratulations!I'm so happy for you. How are you doing? Everything's fine? @Nettsy, @Kwuwtk, @ECM1981: if you need anything else, let me know. We really felt in love with Alicante, that much that we already booked our next and first trip with Alex there, next summer!! Can't wait!!

    What a lovely boys name!

I have had a few communication issues with IVF spain- I send emails and get a delivery failed message but finally it seems to be working and they are responding. Am hoping to just have a chat with them this week and then decide whether to go ahead but so far they seem to be the place which meets my needs - just want to feel comfortable with them first to get over the line!!

Good to hear from you again RachBy . We felt the same about Alicante. We love the little town so much and I dream about going back already. The night before we left, we were sitting @ the local bakery cafe and watching everyone were so lovingly interacting with each other.I cried and cried... I have travelled many countries but no where like Alicante, it's so special! I'm glad you take your bub back next summer!! I'm 6 weeks and 2 days today. On Monday after acupuncture, I had a little bit spotting (light reddish). I was panicing and didn't know what to do. The acupuncture dr said it's normal to spot but I was still unsure so I paged my IVF dr. He said not much he could do. Only resting and if it became heavier, then call him to have a scan. So I was consistently checking my pad and see what was happening. Luckily, the spotting was only one off and stopped there. Now only a bit of brown discharge from the Progesterone. I used to think all would be good as long as I get BFP. It's really not that simple, you never really 'safe' till the baby is out. I feel like another journey has just begun again. There is a lot to go through. I can only take each day as it comes. Ladies, I hope you guys have a smooth transfer in the New Year and all the best for bringing your babies to the world. Lots of love!!

Happy new year to everyone!! I wish you all the best for 2016. May it bring you a wonderfull baby home!! I'm saying goodbye to IVF Spain this week!! Week 12 already!! Just cannot believe it!! Such a weird feeling after being so close to them during the past three months!! But this is good news obviously!! @HopeAgain: Still spotting? @kuwtk: Did you finally get in touch with the clinic? @ECM1981 How things are going on for you? And everybody else: how are you doing?
