Default late night vent, DD crying and unsettled

DF travels a frequently for work, mostly one week in a month but sometimes more. Whenever she is away DD is a mess especially bed time. DF just left this morning and almost midnight DD is still crying for her.

I just don't know what to do wish I knew what I can do to help her because im looking at a whole week of no sleep and uni is hectic these days.

I just used my last resort and asked her to come sleep with me and that hasn't helped.

Have you got anything of df's that has her smell on it, DD sometimes gets upset while DH is away (FIFO) so I give her his pillow case or the singlet he sleeps in and she sleeps a lot better. It's hard and you have my complete sympathy, all you can do is your best and sometimes you have to throw all your rules out the window. Good luck

Hugs. How old is your DD? Could you get her a nice warm drink and cuddle on couch or in bed(yours perhaps?) til she falls asleep? Maybe read a story?

Can you get one of those bears from newsagents that you can record a story on and your partner do it and she can hear her read her the book each night?
