I tutor Arabic from home. I've been studying the subject through a community course for 9 yrs now but also doing it formally through uni. My aim is to teach it in secondary schools for a while then only work from home. It will take me 5 yrs to complete.

I actually do party plan from home, not much overhead and very little to stay activie every couple of months, Its a new company to Aust within the last 12 mths, but has be around in other parts of the world for 10 yrs. The products are selling for themselves, and I am NOT a pushy, business, people person, I don't do parties, mainly advertise on social networking page the common one, and friends and family was the start now its all word of mouth, and people are coming back.

What you need to work out is how much do you want to work from home, how much extra income you want to get, do you want to spend much $ or not etc.

I can send you a message, I don't think I can post what it is on the board as it would be advertising.

    Hi Littleladybug...

I noticed you posted this a few months ago - but I have just joined bubhub!

I have a 21m yo girl and I work from home 3 days per week (my own hours/days). She is in daycare for 1 day.

I enjoy doing it (especially interacting with adults) an earn some great $$. Some days it does get hard when she is around - but you learn to work with it. It is achievable and I am hoping to continue for when bub no 2 comes along!!

    I am in marketing.

    Hope this helps!
    Bec

@beclam3 and @eco, I am really interested in what you do from home! I am a SAHM and would like to make some extra $$ in my own time and keep some skill alive. I have an undergraduate in business and am studying my Masters by coursework (1/3 there!) But am stuck for a network to tap into or ideas that are feasible to do from home (apart from consulting - which is difficult because of care arrangements)... any advice is appreciated

I have often thought editing books, journals and articles would be great but wouldn't know where to start to get that work :-/
