We are going through testing in the early stages now.
I have only just gotten in to see the pead last week. It's all so much to take in so far the possibilities are endless.

    Big hugs @DueInAugust
Growth and weight gain and illness ... Plus testing is all very stressful.
I've been there so I can sympathize in many ways.
Is your little guy drinking nutrini? Or something else?

I was going to suggest Coeliac testing too, it runs in my family and my niece in particular was extremely small as a baby.

My DS had failure to thrive. He was born with unexplained IUGR and had shocking reflux. Like your DD, he stopped breathing at around 7 weeks due to aspiration. He was very slow to put on weight and height and for the first 12 months he wasn't even on the percentile charts. He had cmpi and soy protein intolerance and survived on Neocate - wonderful stuff. He had a hernia which was operated on at around 18months but they don't think that affected any of his issues. For a long time he had issues with difficulty swallowing.

We saw a paediatrician regularly from birth, a paediatric allergist who ran tests which all came back clear, and a paediatric GE who ran blood tests, did a preliminary test for coeliac and suggested investigating damage to his oesophagus. The bloods all came back normal and we didn't end up investigating it further because he began to make dramatic improvements.

Those first few years were such a traumatic time. Its so hard not knowing what's wrong and worrying about them and wondering what's the best path forward. Thankfully, he's now a happy and heathy 4 year old.

I'd suggest a referral to paediatric specialists. Good luck, I really feel for you, as I remember all too well how distressing that time was. I hope your DD turns the corner and starts to improve, or failing that I hope you find some answers.

    Oh did I?? Lol.
My DD has pediasure. Some kiddies don't tolerate that too well and they usually wait until Bub is 12 months or about 8kgs. It's so hard to know.
It's a tough road. I hope you get some answers soon. Feel free to pm or post here if I can help. .. Or you need to vent!

ETA. .. my DD is doing well. We're probably on track for her getting a feeding tube (gastrostomy tube) But she's doing really well.

Ds2 is 18 months and 8.3kg but losing weight. He has been on the fortini for 5 days and they just have us the pediasure today.
He is sleeping better than the last few months which has made such a big difference for me.

I hope the tube is a good thing for you little one. That it helps.
