Default Quick question regarding unpaid maternity leave

Quick question - I have been with my employer for 4 years. I am currently on maternity leave and due to go back around July/August. Hubby and I have been considering trying for our last baby around this time as well as we were hoping for our last around May - June next year if all goes well and we fall when trying.

My question is that this will mean I will be having another baby before being back at work for a year - does the legislation for 1 year unpaid leave go off if you are employed for a year or physically working for a year. Obviously I have been employed for long enough but wont have physically worked for that long.

    I hope this makes sense....

Yep. Im currently on my 13th month leave (currently unpaid) and working casual shifts as my employer allows this.

My unpaid leave ends in September and I will be going on my next lot of mat leave at the same time with the same entitlements as the first time including the full employer paid leave and govt ppl now they have changed the work requirements to include previous ppl taken

Oh Shani2 could you please elaborate on that? We were going with these months as that would be 10 months working exactly.... What changed so that you can you get the government ppl while on Maternity leave????

Might actually change when we start trying...

If you look at there work requirement tests it says that in March '14 it is changed so that the 10 months of work can include previous ppl taken. Just look at the centrelink website
