We bought mostly 000 but ended up having to buy some 0000 which she probably only wore for a couple weeks! So get a few 0000 to get you through a few weeks.

Everyone told me not to buy a lot of 0000 because DD won't wear the very long if at all etc

I took 0000 to hospital and she was 2.7kg when she was born and friends needed to bring in 00000 for me and she still had growing room. She's now 6 and a half weeks and still fits most of her 4x0 and they probably will for a few more weeks.

    You really never know!

If you still have all your receipts I would return all your purchases and get your money back because you will get swamped by gifted baby clothes when bub is born!

I didn't buy anything. We were given so much STUFF before and after the birth that bub only got to wear some outfits ONCE before he out-grew them.

Both my bubs were straight into 00000 and stayed in 0000s for awhile. My 8 month old still fits in some of his 000s.

It's not like that for everyone, I had many visitors and very few bought any clothing items. If I didn't buy anything my Dd would have had nothing to wear.

My DS was in 00000 for 6 weeks and then 0000 for ages after that. I would suggest you have 1 or 2 00000 just in case, you never know!

My two boys went straight into 000. They were both over 9pds. Dd was 3.7kg, 8pd but we knew she was going to be smaller so we got.size 0000 for her. She fit size 0000 for almost 8wks. She is 11wks and is in 000 comfortably. For comparison, my boys were in size 00 from 6-7wks.

I was the opposite! I bought a few 3x0 suits, a few singlets, nothing pretty or special as I thought everyone would bring clothes, but no! No one got us clothes, at all. I had to send dh to target to buy 4x0 suits when she was 2 days old as she had nothing to wear.

I think everyone thought that everyone else would buy clothes for her, so they didn't get us any. We got stuffed toys and flowers.

Oh and she was a 5x0 born, but we didn't bother buying any, just had her in the 4x0 for about 2 months.
