    I agree. Not many people liked our boys name when DD was born (had she been a boy) we didn't care as we loved it.

    A friend named their baby Duke.
    They're both different (Drake & Duke). Maybe Drake is a little to 'old' sounding. I find names need to grow with the child; ok for babies, primary school, adult, etc

    Reminds me of the rapper drake.. amd drake hands.. remember that?
    But as pp said duke is similar and I love that! But its what u love.. my ds name isnt "normal" so we kept it to ourselves until he was born. No other name would fit him now!

    My sons name is Dexter, everyone went on and on about how its a 'serial killer' etc... its not the reason we chose it, and by the time hes in school the tv show will be a thing of the past! It was his name from day one, if you love the name, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.

    If you love it go for it, but seeing as you asked for opinions, mine is also that it just reminds me of a duck - so I picture a child with a big nose. Sorry.
