Thanks Rozzie, wow she is a cutie! Gorgeous picture, I'm glad to hear things are going well. Elijah just got his first top tooth, though randomly it is not the top middle, it's one of the side incisors. It looks like he will get the top 4 in pretty quick succession. He has also been practising walking (me holding both hands) but is become pretty good at it but isn't even 8 months yet 😁

Here's my crazy little girl. 7 months old and is just crazy. Constantly on the move and won't stay put. She has learnt to crawl and is pulling herself up on everything.

Quick question has your good sleeper turned into a monster (it's the nicest way to put it) and is waking 2 or more times a night for long periods?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.... I need my sleep...

    Mieke034 she is so cute!
Have you read the wonder weeks? It suggests that about 8 months they can start to have nightmares so it can be common to have sudden night wakings. There is an app that explains all the wonder weeks, so far it's the only thing I have found to be pretty spot on at explaining the development stages and suggesting ideas and games to aid them through them

Thanks soready. I have the app and had thought it could be that. It's so strange cos it's exactly the same times each night. Really hoping its a leap... Can't handle not sleeping much now I'm back at work.

    Hey SoReady,

Thanks for checking in on us... Little miss seems to be back on track... Thank goodness. She still wakes once a night but has a feed then straight back to sleep.

How's things with you and Elijah going? Still practising walking?

Yes he is good, we also had a little hiccup with sleep on the week he hit the 8 month mark. It was like he was having nightmares, would scream but not actually wake up but that has stopped now. He is now pulling himself to standing though so we've had to lower the cot mattress. He loves climbing at the moment so we often find him in the strangest of places. He's so big now, really tall for his age

Thanks for asking Cue but unfortunately it didn't take this time. I have one frozen one left which we will attempt in May. How are you going?

Sorry to hear that - hopefully next time will be successful and you won't have to do a stim cycle. We're doing pretty well, DS is a great baby generally but we've had some health problems. He gets croup quite a lot and we're not sure why. So far we know he has an uncoordinated swallow which causes some of his milk to overflow into his airways but that doesn't really explain the recurring croup. He has a procedure later this week under a general anaesthetic to have a closer look. He's already had one surgery to remove the dermoid cyst from above his eye so I'm not too happy about another general anaesthetic, but it's important to rule out any anatomical issues in his oesophagus. Basically he can't swallow solids yet and doesn't take enough of his bottles but we are doing our best to keep him out of hospital and off a feeding tube.
