Hi ladies! Firstly congrats cue! So happy for you!
our little man Thomas Isaac entered our world Saturday at 5:52pm weighing 2.8 kilos, not bad for 4 weeks early. Unfortunately 24 hours after our little prince was born he developed breathing issues and had to be transferred from Cabrini to the mercy ICU. He is doing much much better today and we even had a chance to have a ten minute cuddle today. Hopefully we can take him home in a weeks time. Fingers crossed.

So many people told me I would forget the pain (I was like 'yeah right') but they are right!!! I couldn't tell u the pain I was in or what it felt like because I've completely forgotten!!

Good luck with everything AND you will be fine xo

Congrats Emzy!!! I hope the breathing issues resolve quickly and you get to take him home before too long.

Lan - try not to worry too much. I was nervous about the delivery too but it was such an amazing experience. I did have an epidural though, but it wasn't up very high so it was just reducing the pain rather than taking it away. It helps a lot with pushing to feel the contractions and once I did start pushing it didn't hurt at all - it was just hard work!

AFM - our little dude is doing brilliantly, he's a great feeder and really settled. My boobs are massive, he's really got my supply going!

    We named him Flynn.

Thanks ladies I think it's just the anxiety of the unknown my partner is really getting cranky with me when I say I can have epi if I'm not handling it saying what was the point of the calmbirth but I think I need to ignore that comment and do what is right for me and the baby at the time.

The calmbirth is likely still going to be beneficial regardless! You can't plan these things, you can just prepare as best you can. Keeping an open mind with pain management is smart! You might use a mix of pain relief strategies, nothing wrong with that!
