    Hi fifomum,
I'm Pretty sure I read in the terms and conditions that the full fee was only due if you were still a patient at 24 weeks when the fees are due.

Fifomum - I'm not entirely sure hun. I was going to have bub through the SJOG private hospital in Bendigo VIC, as that's where I'm from and we relocate back there Nov/Dec this year. After flying down to meet with her 2 weeks ago, and talking things over with DH, we have decided to have the baby through the public hospital here where we live.

Her monthly consult fees were $100.00 per visit (which I would have done over the phone as it is a long way to go for a monthly visit!), and at her consult was provided with a full fee list. I was dumbfounded when in addition to the $3000.00 'labour/delivery" fee which we expected, was a $2700.00 "pregnancy planning & management fee" was due by 24 weeks. I couldn't believe it, and is only a new introduction to a Private OBGYNs fees as of the last few years. I thought the $100.00 a month consult was to 'plan and manage" the pregnancy??

Anyway we have decided it will be just easier, and a lot cheaper, to have it here through the public hospital and be assigned to a midwife than go the private route. I would be surprised if you would be liable to pay as I'm sure you will have been paying a monthly fee each time you saw your Obgyn til now?? Will be interested to see how you go, good luck.

Thanks ladies the pics aren't very good so wen I go back in a few weeks for a rescan I'll hopefully get better ones to post! The sonographer couldn't get a good view of his heart hence the rescan. He's gonna be tall I think... His legs & arms are really long & I can feel them all the time! Anyway, hope everyone is going well can't wait to see more belly pics & baby pics! Oh yeah got asked for the first time when I was due today by a stranger so must mean I'm starting to look more pregnant than fat!!! Yay

Ange I look like I am due next week and am only 22 weeks. At least twice a day someone's asks if I'm sure I don't have twins, or geez how much bigger can you get, or wow you like you're about to pop. I have only put on 4kg though and it's all belly but it is seriously out of control
