When sorting linen cupboard out. Only keep sets. Turf/donate the rest.
Write the date on masking tape on pantry items when you open it ie soy sauce or fish sauce. That way you know how long you've had it for. Discovered I was using fish sauce I bought in 2009 the other day. Whoops.

Go thru kids books and remove any dead/dodgy ones.

Same with toys. Donate any unused/not often used toys.

wifey of hubby who is always away. mother of two girls who are always amusing.

For those cleaning out linen cupboards please consider donating your unwanted pillow cases and towels etc. to your local RSPCA branch/dog's home. These guys really appreciate it

Formula tins are great for them! Perfect size for headbands and you stick the hair clips/hair lackies inside!

What a great idea, I'll see if I can get in touch with some animal rescue places and ask what they need and if they'd like to work with us on this.

They may even be able to take old pantry stock. Not sure

Thanks so much for doing that! I always donate my old linen to our RSPCA and it's always gratefully received. I've even done old blankets in the winter as it gets very cold where I live and I hate to think of their charges suffering in the cold. Let us know how you go!

I have a bit of a solution to the 'dumping horror zone' problem. Ours is the dining table and my new house rule is that every family member puts away one item off the table (in addition to the things they have dumped that day) every day. The task that once seemed depressing is actually not too bad.
