    15th June – Rest Day
After cleaning all week … today is a rest day.

Did you know that tile floors can best be cleaned with a bucket of warm water and 1/2 cup baking soda. Just mop using the mixture and rinse thoroughly. Add lemon juice to the water to create a fresh scent. Use baking soda on a damp sponge to remove those black heel marks that spring up when you least expect them.

If your kitchen floor is ceramic, mop it with a gallon of warm water mixed with 1 cup vinegar. Rinsing is not necessary. Linoleum and vinyl floors can be cleaned with the same mixture. If you need a little extra polish, mop the entire floor with club soda.

I am so far behind, but finally finished the bathroom vanity today. So disgustingly dirty and I threw out so much!

I did my under & behind task on Thursday - found some interesting stuff under the couch!

My under kitchen cupboard holds all laundry stuff atm too, this is it done: I found some little removable hooks which I stuck up to hang dustpan etc which was really handy.

I did a big clean of the bathroom vanity a couple of months ago and found some little baskets to keep everything contained in the drawers. Chucked heaps of old make-up and used an old make-up bag to store little things like hair clips and ties. Just needed a quick tidy today:

Work has been hectic this week so I've been playing catch up today... Kitchen is finished, under and behind was disgusting but at least it's done now! Laundry done, and just bathroom vanity to go. The little hooks for the dust pan is a good idea - I've got some hooks floating around so might try that too.

Also, best thing is I managed to clean the burnt food off the bottom of my good casserole dish (I used it for the first time last week and of course i burnt it). It didn't come off with normal soaking and scrubbing so I tried bi-carb and now it looks as good as new! Woohoo!

Over the last 2 days I've moved everything in ds1 & ds2s rooms, vacuumed under and around it all, cleaned walls behind beds and draws, cleaned under and behind the washing machine, dryer, fridge, TV unit, couch, microwave, on top of a storage cupboard in the kitchen, cleaned out my recipe book shelf, bathroom vanity, scrubbed the loungeroom rug and vacuumed my car. Think I deserve a cider tonight!

    16th June – Linen Cupboard

Clear out anything unused or unneeded (Hubbers suggest contacting your local animal shelter or RSPCA to donate old linen), re fold and re organise.

This is a great thread, so motivating. Currently filing and shredding. A really helpful and somewhat amusing app is Unf**k Your Habitat. It's $1.30 or something. Just a good to do list cleaning app with timers to give yourself breaks and funny motivation things. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but I really need the kick in the bum approach when it comes to cleaning so it's good for me.
