My 3 year old screams and cries like he's being murdered when we cut his hair, and did the same thing the one and only time I ever put him in the shower. Like full-on screaming, for ages. Is that normal? (There aren't enough hours in the day for me to list all the other things that make him cry - but I'm talking about screaming here.)

DD cries if I cut up food on her plate to help her without asking. Lost it when I cut her cauliflower floret in half. Oh the horror!

The list changes as she gets older, but at the moment she cries:
    - if I cut any food on her plate without express permission and/or direction as to how it should be cut (ie triangles, squares, etc)
    - if I try in any way try to assist her in dressing/undressing
    - if her clothes don't sit or feel exactly right on her body
    - if her DVD is scratched and won't play properly
    - if I help her into the pram/car seat/bath/bed, she insists on getting in herself
    - if she can't wear a dress every day
    - if I give her discarded dinner to the dogs
    - if the dogs bark too loudly
    - if she isn't allowed to open the door when the doorbell has been rung
I'm sure there are heaps more but these are the most frequent things!

I can 100% sympathise with her! I hate mornings too! Lucky she's not my daughter, our morning bickering would be incredible ...

OMG I have a 3 2 and a 1 year olds. I would have to type all day.
    just some recent ones

the 2 year old screams if her older brother unclicks her car seat instead of me.
if I walk to another another room with out holding her hand and taking her with me.
If she hits her older siblings and "hurts" her hand.

the 3 year old is strong willed so things like I won't make him a yoghurt and mayo sandwich are the end of the world.

The 1 year old is more simple thing like I told her no and won't let her play with the knives in the dishwasher.

This morning my son cried because I wouldn't let him suck on the empty panadol syringe...
