    Default Constant period :-/

Hi ladies wondering if anyone can help. I've had my AF for 2 weeks now first was normal week of bleed & since then it's been on & off spotting heavy bleeds & old gunk. I'm not on any pill or hormonal contraception. I would like for it to just stop. Any advice ?

I'm assuming you're not middle aged or older so I'm not sure why this is happening to you. But was/is is happening to my mother for weeks and months on end. They did an ultrasound and then had to biopsy for cancer. She didn't have it thankfully. It's just a hormonal issue. They have her progesterone that helped and she will be having a mirena type of thing soon to make it stop. It must be awful. You would have to have an iron deficiency after prolonged blood loss too.

Definitely see your doctor about it. I hope you get some answers soon.

You could have issues with your endometrial lining. I'd see a doctor. You can get an ultrasound done to see what's going on.

I had almost constant bleeding/ spotting towards the end of breastfeeding my last baby. My hormones were completely unbalanced and a had low progesterone. I had the choice to go on progesterone tablets for 10 days before I was due for AF or go on the pill. I waited until I weaned DS and went on the pill and my cycles settled straight away.
Might be worth getting some blood tests to check hormone levels.

I agree with this. Is it painful?
I would go to your Dr as they will do an ultrasound

@jagamoe. Did you get any answers? I've been bleeding for 12 days. I'm usually bleeding for 5! Early menopause runs in the family so I'm a little worried.
