Default A question for Mums that work from home...

When you work from home, do you put your kids in daycare or work while they're at home with you? If it's the latter, how do you do it? Ie what are your kids doing while you work? I'm currently considering working from home again but not sure how I will juggle it around my son but find daycare so expensive.

I tried it when DS was about 8 months old. Had him in daycare 1 day per week. Then worked around him the rest of the week. For various reasons it didn't work out for me tho and am working in an office now!

Before I had my DS I did a lot of nannying for mums that worked from home. Even though they tried to work from 8-4 most of them would ask me to come and look after their kids for either a few hours in the morning or afternoon. That way they had 3 or 4 hours to do things they couldn't do with kids around, I'd get them to bed at lunch and then they would do the easier stuff in the afternoon when I'd gone home. It works out to be a lot cheaper than day care as lots of nannys don't charge much at all and your kids can still have their routine because it's at home where they feel comfortable
