Default High white blood cells. Info please

Has anyone else had problems with high white blood cell count? I know it is normal for them to be a bit high during pregnancy but I have to see a blood specialist. My first blood test results were 76% "neutrophils" and have risen to 80%.
I started freaking out when I went to make an appointment with a specialist today and realised I was in a cancer ward.
i have googled it a lot and it said a lot about infection which I did have a root canal abscess in January but my doctor thought my white blood cell count would have decreased by now.
my appointment isn't for 2 weeks but my anxiety is going through the roof!
I hope someone can relate to this and help me and give me some peace of mind.
    Xx

I don't know anything about this but what I can say is please don't refer to Dr Google, it will give you the worst case possible.

I too used to google everything and started self diagnosing myself with every illness under the sun. It only caused horrible anxiety for no reason.

I hope all is well. Take care

I had specialist appointments for excessively heavy periods and fibroids. They were also in a cancer wing. Don't stress about where your appointments happen to be.
