    Oh I love this!

The only thing is I bet my kids will still get confused because passed is in the past too! And quarter past isn't in the past. Stoopid English language. I will try all of these ideas and they can pick the one that their brain likes best...

Why don't people understand the difference between your and you're! It's driving me bonkers! Is it rude for me to correct my friends social media posts haha

Yesterday a business card was dropped in my letterbox advertising pet sitting with a short spiel about how people appreciate 'there' pets 'been' looked after in 'there' own home. Oh my lord.

The other day I went to write "tidyness" but it did not look right. But "tidiness" looks wrong too. The longer I stared at it, the more confused I became. Any thoughts?

If you look at any word too many times it looks wrong regardless of the spelling!

I say i because other similar words ending in 'y' change to i. Silliness, cleanliness, happiness etc. If I was at work I'm sure I could lay my hands on something with the 'rule' written down. FWIW my phone autofills neither!

In one of those 'this is a true story' nonsense stories on Facebook about the answering machine at a school ...

Clearly the person transcribing this 'true' recording didn't attend English class much themselves.

A business page on Facebook continuously uses 'hey guise...' Instead of 'hey guys...'

Why make it more complicated than it has to be??

Unless it is a costume shop (it would become old saying that after the first 5 times) that is terrible.
