Did anyone see the article a few weeks ago (I think in the "Daily Mail"!!), about the woman who bought 3L of milk from Coles, and then tried to return it for some reason...at Woolworths?!! Anyway, she posted online about how upset she was, and demanded that Woolies fulfill their "oblergashans"...!!!

    Haha!
Gotta give some people credit, though, for just giving zero sh!ts about caring/accuracy. That's amazing.

I have to get this out! I just read an article about something that is very important to me. Decided to read through the comments...

Third comment in and my eyes were met with 'your' instead of 'you're', 'there' instead of 'their' and 'witch' instead of 'which'.

All in the same comment. My heart rate actually went up. I have a problem 😱

I know I've said it before, but...I am going to lose my mind at the number of posters on BH who don't know the difference between lose and loose!!! And I am talking about otherwise articulate members.

And 'apart' is not the same as 'a part'

Can anyone tell me a foolproof rule for when to use 'past' and when to use 'passed'? I can't get my students to truly understand it...

Dunno if it's fool proof but tell them to replace passed with 'went past' in the sentence, if it still makes sense then passed is correct. And I actually have no idea if that's correct lmao

    Past - in the past.

Passed - eg. He passed me the salt when I asked him to.

Past - 't' is for time. Past-tense, in the past....
