Default Spelling and Grammar Vent Thread #4

Got a report back from the second editor today. He corrected it's back to its' - which it should be but the first person had changed my its' to it's. Confusing!

OMG - I just googled and it should just be its.

I hate it when people say 'I ain't got nothing'. Which technically means 'I do not have nothing' or 'I have something'. How do they not understand that the sentence means the opposite of what they are trying to say!

Does anyone else think that social media is responsible for the demise of the English language, and of correct spelling and appropriate punctuation?
It makes me a little bit sad.
