    One of my cousins types things on facebook that would make many people's toes curl, but when you put into context that she does have a brain injury, you realise that her attempts at spelling phonetically are actually pretty good.

    Some people have genuine reasons and I realise that but in the general population it seems to be a growing trend. That's what I'm worried about. I didn't mean to offend anyone though.

    I agree there is a trend toward laziness. It is a shame because the nuances of language are so important to our communication......and should not be replaced by emoticons.....most of the time.
