Default Part time work and child care arrangements

I am going back to work soon and wondering what different people do with child care arrangements during the school term & during school holidays.

I'm so fortunate that my mum is retired and is happy to help out with my kids. When my mat leave ends in a couple of months she will have DS 3 dpw and also pick DD up from school on those days. DH finishes work before me so will pick them both up on his way home. I do the school drop off in the morning as my boss doesn't mind me arriving just after 9 and work is quite close to school. DH and I use our annual leave and time in lieu during school holidays. We also make arrangements with SIL and my mum.

I work 3 days a week. Our 2 year old goes to daycare, our 6 year old goes to before and after school care on my work days.

During school holidays, if we don't have holidays ourselves, we use vacation care for 2-3 days a week and each of us have the odd extra day off.

I'm casual, I only work days that either DF or my mum are home. It wouldn't be worth me going back to work if we had to pay for childcare.

We will need to pay for someone to help watch him during school holidays and also use holiday care. No way DH and I are taking separate holidays to each other every year.
