@Rice sorry to hear we are in the same boat. I think I will probably go straight into the next cycle. We are lucky enough to have lots of frosties waiting for a chance at life so at least I don't have to go through a stim cycle again. I might ask about this endometrial scratch that I have read about, although I think that means you have to wait an extra month. Has anyone had good experience with that? Trying to decide whether I will stick with the accupuncture & natropath or whether I am better to save my money since they haven't done me much good to date and IVF is expensive enough as it is.
Like you I think I will stick around on the thread since everyone is really lovely and I want to know how people go. I'm glad you are thinking the same since you have been instramental to the thread with the roll calls. Perhaps you can put us in the "waiting to start" part for our next cycles. @Just One Wish I like your suggestion of a pamper. Out of the three of us that transferred on the same day you are the last one left and the fact that AF isn't here yet is a good sign for you. Statistically I think they say it works on about 30% of transferrs, so with two bfn's, you should be a bfp to make up the 30% @Tilkah fingers crossed your lone soldier is a fighter @headoverfeet That must have been amazing hanging out with your IM. Do you plan to stay in contact at the end of this process? @Bongley what is a long down reg? I have heard people mention it but don't really know what it is.

A long down regulation is when you shut down your follicles and send them into a menopausal state so that when they are stimulated back up again they grow at the same rate. So you get a bunch of them becoming mature at the same time. That's the theory.
I have to wait for AF then take the pill for three weeks, synarel for three weeks and then injecting for two. It takes aaages.

I tried accupuncture for a few cycles but found it really stressful...felt like it was just another dr appointment on top of everything and also the $ was a factor. That was our last frozen embie so it's a full cycle for us next...cause we're doing PGD I have to go on the pill for a month first (how annoying!!!) so they can ensure my EPU the following month falls when the embryologist are available. On top of that since I don't do well with fresh cycles I then have to hope not only do my embies fertalise, grow, pass testing but they freeze and then defrost the next month for a FET - so it's a 3 month journey (or longer) for one shot but I have a DS so I know it's worth it! Cause I have to freeze all anyway I'm going to try the scratch...FS says there's no proof it works but they are seeing some good results

@Rice and @Bellydance I am so sorry the witch came, I was crossing my fingers for both of you
Acupuncture is expensive and another appointment like you say and I don't know if it makes a difference...like the pineapple core, I didn't eat it this time but did last time, who knows. Maybe if you can go straight into it again it gives you something to kind of focus on if that makes sense. or go away somewhere for a few days if you can? We get so caught up in doing IVF that life begins to revolve around sniffing, jabbing, waiting. @Just One Wish @miissalina @Bongley when is your BT? FX for we would like some more BFPs please

@Bellydance - sorry this cycle wasn't the one - I totally get where you are coming from with acupuncture - it's so expensive and out of my last 5 cycles one of 3 that I didn't do it on I got a BFP ( had to terminate later for medical reasons) so I'm in two minds... I had the scratch done this time and will hopefully transfer on Saturday so watch this space!

@Molros my BT is the 30th which is a sunday so it should be the 31st but I will be in Melbourne at a wedding. So I won't be able to get a BT until the 2nd I think

I really hope its pretty clear using the POAS next week one way or the other.

@Bellydance and @Rice so sorry that you didn't get your result this cycle. Fingers crossed next cycle is the one.

AFM - EPU yesterday, got 3 little eggies, so fingers crossed they fertilize, can't wait to hear today. Just one question - since yesterday afternoon my glands in my throat have been up, they were fine before EPU but are now sore - are the 2 things related or just crappy timing?
