Who remembers the good old days when people answered phones (people within Australian) instead of machines or people in another country? Grrrrrr. I feel old today. Old and grumpy.

It's been going around Sienna's for about a month, so I guess we're lucky she hasn't had it before now.

This is part of the reason you can buy Chlorsig drops and ointment over-the-counter at Pharmacies now. So parents can get onto it as soon as signs/symptoms appear, as conjunctivitis is so contagious. Guidelines say you can use Chlorsig in infants older than 3 months old safely. I have some "on stand-by" for Oscar and Lucy.
Don't be afraid to use it. Because it is topical (delivered directly to the site of infection), there is MINIMAL absorption into the blood-******.
I have used it successfully with both kids.
Feel free to post photos, if you want a spot-diagnosis!
    J xx.

When I was at the dr last month when she had a chest infection, the dr decided she had conjunctivitis and gave me a prescription for drops. I bought them then, but only used them once because she didn't have it (no gunk, no red eyes, nothing, she was fine). She was home with DH this morning, but he couldn't get them in her eye, so that's my job tonight. I'm not sure the name of them

LS...it is often a 2-person job!! One to pull-down on lower lid, and hold little arms out of the way...the other to put drops into the lower lid cavity!!
    It's never easy...just persist.

Ask them at check-in. It's the same thing we do with DPs wheelchair but jetstar won't fly him

Poor bub. Lincoln has his first cold and keeps waking every 2hrs through the night screaming. He isn't going to child care tomorrow. My little sister is on school holidays so she's going to have him.
