J try not to stress about Lucy. I hope your cmhn has some answers for you.

When I said to DP that her comment was inappropriate he said "that's her practical mind coming out" I think it's more her personality than any form of early dementia. Though she is having some issues with her memory. I managed to ignore her this time but I find things she says quite upsetting and DP brushing it off or making excuses for her doesn't help.

    Channy, great face. He's cute

    Shelby, gorgeous photos

Toni, sorry but your MIL sounds like a nutcase. As if you say that to anyone. I'd be ****ed if DP didn't pull her into line

J, I hope the nurse can offer some reassurance or advice.

Hi all, I've been reading along but it's been hard to have enough time to reply as Meadow has been playing up at going down for sleeps which is when I normally sit on my phone and do bub hub! She usually feeds to sleep but now sucks a bit then pushes away. I swap sides, she settles, but then does it again. Standing up walking/rocking whilst feeding helps a little bit but then I can't type much! I would love if she stopped feeding to sleep, I am trying to reduce it, but when she pushes away if I try to put her down in her cot or just cuddle her she goes mental!

Anyway, that's our latest challenge. She has cut her 8th tooth in the last week and is proficient at 'cruising' and keeps letting go to stand there wobbling. So has had a few bumps to the head falling over.

Channy I'm really sorry to hear about your brother's accident. Is he doing ok now?

J, I hope the appointment with the CHN is useful and she has some suggestions. Have you got any plans for Lucy's birthday?

Toni, that's a corker of a quote from your MIL. I wouldn't quite know how to respond to that! Bit shocking. How much longer is she staying?

Shelby, lovely family photos. Five weeks old already!

MissX, glad you're going ok at the moment. How did the baby shower for your friend go? Formula never made any difference to Toby's sleep either!

Smurfy has AF showed up yet?

Hi to Maybee and Munchkin too!

AF showed up yesterday morning, 3 days late, thank god.

Sienna has an ear infection and throat infection, and a rash all over her body. She won't eat, doesn't drink much, and basically just screams all the time. She's on antibiotics which she only started yesterday. Panadol does nothing, and she screams for at least half an hour once i give it to her. It's been a fun weekend. I've just got her back to sleep, hopefully for a while.

    Hi all.

Poor little Sienna Smurfy, sounds like your having a pretty cruddy time at the moment.

Channy, sorry to hear about your brothers accident. I hope he's doing ok.

We survived our night without DH. Went to visit a friend, but Poppi wouldn't go down to sleep so we were home early. He went down fine in her own bed. Then last night we were at my mum and dads and the same thing, didn't want a bar of it! I was thinking she must be going through a stage where she only sleeps in her bed maybe and that I should leave her to sleep on her play mat or something, so she gets used to sleeping anywhere.... And then I remembered she's probably in the middle of a wonder week leap too, so no doubt that's not helping...she kept me up until 1.30am this morning...but slept until 7.30am so was a bit hungry to say the least!!

And MissX, Poppi is two and a bit months now. It's flying by!!!

I'm terrible at doing personals. Sorry!

Hope everyone has a good start to the week!

Toni - I have no words.. Your MIl...oh man *facepalm*

    Channy! The face! Haha

Bond - shall we send Meadow and Chelsea off somewhere and get them back when they work out their sleep???? Haha

We have a topsy turvy week RE: sleep. Friday and Saturday nights Chelsea woke up screaming for 1.5 hours - had no idea what was going and we just thought she just didn't want to sleep! So we made her stay in her bed and 'shh' and patted her. Yesterday I realised that she was really constipated . Last night we gave her a suppository and gave her a bottle of EBM and she slept 6 hours!! My poor little poppet. I have stopped the formula - did jack all for Chelsea but make her poos hard.

We have had to use a suppository a few times in the past few months. I do generally give her prune juice and feed her prunes and pears, plus I try to get Chelsea to drink plenty of water, but sometimes she won't go near it. My mum said that we need to be careful as maybe she might have a 'weak' bowel which is why she gets constipated so easily. My DH stated she is a 9 month old with a digestive system still working itself out! I am a little torn and don't want to run of to the Dr yet. Has anyone heard of the bowels not functioning properly?

Munchkin, that's great that you survived on your own.

MissX, no idea about bowel function.

Sienna has hand, foot, and mouth disease, so she can't go back to childcare until her blisters clear up. So I have 4 days off this week and my
Mum is taking 1 day. I feel so guilty not going to work, but Sienna is a priority and she needs me.

Last night I slept on the couch with Sienna in the port a cot next to me. It was the only way I could get her to sleep. We did have lots of screaming episodes during the night. Today, she was perfectly happy and her usual self. Who knows what tonight will bring

Oh no, Smurfy! Poor Sienna really has had a bad run since she started child care hasn't she! Hand, foot and mouth can be horrible in babies. Toby had it last year but not so bad as he was older I think. But had disgusting nappies and night terrors. I really hope she's better soon. Yay for AF though!

Munchkin glad you and Poppi did well on your own, and she slept well when finally went down. I think if she's going to pick one place to sleep it's better it's her bed. Hard when you want to go out I know but at least you can rest when she's settled at home

MissX, yes Chelsea and Meadow would be good company for one another during the night! She was up a lot again. I tried to go to bed early but it was pointless. And worst thing is she's now starting the day at 0530. Began a week ago. How are you feeling?

And re. Constipation, I think it's normal for babies to get it to some degree due to all the new foods. Meadow had a bad bout a while back despite eating only fruits and vegetables plus breast milk and water. Resorted to lactulose as it went on for weeks with only rabbit dropping style poos. If it persists then there may be an issue though but you know best, you're her mum. :-)

Also does anyone else still have their linea negra (sp?). Still got mine 9.5 months on!!!!

I've got a gynae appointment this week re. Loads of pain when DTD. Result of the tearing when I had her I think. And also got a rectal ultrasound to check the repair is all ok inside just in case we have another bub so I know it's ok to go for a vaginal delivery again. Hmmm that'll be fun!!!

Bond, good luck with your appointments. The things women have to go through. I think you should take hubby with you and let him get a rectal ultrasound too lol. Just to share some of the fun
