Yeah it's just my silly mummy anxiety about her being lonely in there, had the same with Toby! Plus she is very clingy to me atm anyway, which is contributing to her 1-2 hourly wakings. If someone else is holding her and I come into the room she smiles, kicks her legs, and reaches out for me. Then cries if I don't take her!

*sigh* I love her so much but it seems everyone else's babies sleep better than mine! Not sure what to do, sleep school worked then she hit a.wonder week and never recovered. Now those methods don't work anymore as she's older.

Fingers crossed sleeping in her own room might make her sleep better

Bond...for some reason I had forgotten you slept in same room. Lucy was on her own from day dot. Even in the hospital I farmed her out into the Nursery overnight...out for feeds but straight back. I think those first 2 nights in June 2010 when I "roomed-in" Oscar, got NO sleep as I lay awake listening to him breathe, and then lost the plot from sleep-deprivation.
I have lots of toys in Lucy's cot. I have the Fisher-Price Seahorse which sings and lights up for 10 minutes, very soothing (best investment...my whole family has the pink or blue seahorse for their bubs), give her big white bear to cuddle, a very soft light so she can find dummy in the night, and a knitted blanket to finger. She is protected by the monitor, so peace of mind there. I turn out light, make sure dummy, seahorse and blankie are near her, and turn off light and walk away. She is teething at moment, so I give her a 20mg/kg paracetamol dose (20 x 7.06kg = 141.2 mg, so at solution of 100mg/mL, she gets 1.4-1.5mL (allows for spilleage).
She may grumble a bit for a while, but then goes down eventually. Upstairs is quieter, and so Oscar is limited to downstairs.

But Meadow's sleep will improve...it has to! She won't be 10 and be like this. I have to tell myself Oscar wont poo himself at 10 years old...!!!

And crawling at 7 months...WOW. Lucy will sit unsupported any day now!!...See what I mean; Lucy can sleep but she cannot even sit up by herself!! They all "specialise" in one thing, methinks!!

    J xx.
